    i have not found them cheaper there always more expensive but i suppose it depends where you are going and when

    In my experience they are more expensive, the further out you can book the better deal you usually get

    I agree I have always found it cheaper to book in advance and find out when there sales are however if your lucky u may still pickup a cheap one !

    Yep, it is almost ALWAYS cheaper to book in advance. Unlike hotel rooms, it is extremely rare to find cheap flights at the last minute.

    Yep, book in advance. They are much cheaper in advance.

    Tickets can be quite pricey at the last minute. It's common for people to suddenly need to go overseas (family emergency, business travel or whatnot), and the airlines know that people/companies in that situation will pay the fee no matter what.
