    I have usually chucked it the weekend after but dd started school this year so I'm doing it the weekend before to avoid having her party the first weekend of school holidays incase her friends are going away. And from now on I will do the weekend before for same reason. If holidays are not an issue I would do the week after Usually but it's whichever you feel like. I don't like doing the parties during the week. To tiring after school of there school age or go to daycare

    I normally go the weekend after unless it's on a monday. My uncle's birthday is just before hers so we are normally out of town for his birthday the weekend before. This year it's his 60th and will have the party when my father gets time off work. I will work around him because it's such a big event, family coming from everywhere, whereas for dd it will be a few kids from school.
