    Question numbness after c-section

I keep forgetting to ask my Dr, and dont want to make a pointless app if its nothing, but I had an emergency c-section 9 weeks ago, and since then a section of my belly just above the scar has been completely numb, can stab myself with a needle and not feel it. it all looks normal, just feels numb...has anyone else had this, or is it something serious??

I'd like to avoid the Drs if I can, had enough of them and hospitals lately!

Don't worry it's totally normal, the nerves can take a while to heal. Mine was numb for 6 or 9 months after, i can't remember (it's been almost 2 years now...).

I was the same. Around my scar was numb for around 12 months. DS is now almost 17 months old and all the feeling is back. I think it is fairly common.

My last c/s was 3 yrs 2 mths ago and I still have some numbness but not to the extent it was. I didn't have any numbness after my first. My mum still has some numbness after her last c/s which was 22 years ago. The majority of feeling in mine has come back, just a couple of small spots.

I still have numbness with mine and that was 10yrs ago, it's never bothered me but it feels funny when I get itchy spots and I can't feel the scratching properly.
