Tired - that's great news the girls are doing so well. When my nephews and niece (triplets) were born they all came home at different times, my niece was 3 weeks in nicu and another week or so in the nursery before she came home, so they are doing extremely well by the sound of it.
AFU - not looking forward to tomorrow, mum is totally off the wall, it's difficult to get anything through to her and it's going to be hard to relate it all to the dr in front of her cos I know she's not going to accept she's got issues, one minute she acknowledges it and the next she doesn't.

kismet: was wondering what had happened> is this dementia? sounds awful, couldnt imagine what that must be like for her and those close to her.
nessie: some cycles i was nervous others not, not sure why , i think given the F up's of some of your recent cycles u are entitled to be nervous, u have to rely on others to get it right as well in this game.
tired: gald to hear that the hospital has been excellent and that mia is coming home today .
any tips from the new mums? BK i agree with the whole thing about baby taking a bottle, it was a godesnd that Harry liked (well LOVED) a bottle as when i was sick and on the few occasions i got my act together with some EBM it was so handy....i admit i actually enjoyed the odd break from having a baby chained to your nipple earth mother NOT is me.

Kismet, sorry to hear about your mum. I'm sorry, previously I thought the symptoms were more subtle. I hope it isn't dementia. This can be a tough time on you all. Xx

thanks everyone. We've been worried it could be the onset of dementia. Dr appointment went well, mum seemed a bit calmer today and understood what she was there for, at this stage she is to have a ct scan and a number of blood tests done & I'm getting her referred to a specialist geriatrician that deals with things from cognitive impairment to dementia. It's possible to have something to do with her oxygen levels, lack of oxygen to the brain can cause mini strokes and impairment so more is being done about monitoring that. I feel like we will get to the bottom of this, I'm just hoping it's nothing really really serious cos she has been getting headaches as well, not severe but it's still concerning me, I'm hoping it is something that can be treated. It's just been so bizarre that her erratic behaviour has been so sudden, it's been rather awful to see this happening.

Kismet, it is so difficult with aging parents, for both of you!
My mum has her moments and struggles to admit it ... Pride most of the time.
She has had a mini stroke and a small heart attack, and prior to both of these she was really confused ... With blood thinners and other meds this is better, although she is sometimes a bit slack with meds, frustrating! Hopefully they will be able to find something to help your mum.
Mine has always been a little nutty ... Now just more so!!
Once she heard a noise in the roof so decided to get a chair climb on it and look up through the manhole, it was too dark to see anything ... So she grabbed a lighter to cast some light up there ... Dust webs/ cobwebs caught on fire so she grabbed the nearest thing that she thought would put out the small fire ...... Flyspray!!!!!!! Which of course made a big fire!!! Oh my, luckily she then gathered some sense and got a damp towel and lived to tell the tale ....
Now I am pregnant she is offering to come and look after the baby, and do the washing once it's born so I can have a nap and rest.... I can imagine finding the baby in the washing machine and the clothes in the cot ... Lol ... Ahhhh thanks mum!!!
