Saw our FS today. Our hormone levels are perfect. I have slight PCOS but she doesnt seem bothered by it as my metformin ive been on for 2 years(for insulin resistance) is working really well. I start Clomid in November, 1/2 tablet to maybe make my ovulation a little better as she said its good the way it is now. Then we will see her again in February to try insemination. She seemed pretty pleased with our results so we decided to do whatever she suggested. Does clomid help?

Hi jacks! I'm here, just lurking and trying not to freak out and think worst case scenarios with my pregnancy. I have an appt with the MFM specialist on the 26th and they'll give me a cheeky scan then. Im not having an official dating scan as it's quite expensive here and I'm pretty certain of my dates. I'll be 7 weeks by then so should see a heartbeat
How are you going with you're pills and potions? I hope they work for you!
Smep is definitely tiring but I can see how it has a good success rate

nawww love your ticker - keep positive zanzi!!! I think DH is afraid he will come home to me wearing a black pointy hat and a broomstick with my pills and potions!
SMEP begins tonight - did you use preseed at all? i have the last two cycles but thinking of giving it the boot as when i first got a bfp i didnt use it!
keeping my fingers crossed for you scan and a sticky bub x
have a good weekend

Just found out today that my friend (who ive only just got in contact with after 9 years) is pregnant. She had only been trying for 2 months but was on my side of the fertility fence so to speak. she was the person i spoke to when i was upset or angry or just frustrated about the lack of a pregnancy. Now i feel rather anngry, confused and let down, not to mention very lonely. On top of this i feel like such a horrible person because I just can find it to be happy for her, which makes it all even worse. It just isnt fair. She had tried to tell me, but i figured it out before she could tell me. What do i do now? I know ill get the pitty look, the "oh you poor thing" look. also, her mother in law is a family friend and neighbour of my parents and friend of my mums. Im dredding the day her mother in law tells my mum. You see pretty much every one knows we are trying from the beginning, and theres always "that" look not to mention the "so any news?" type of questions which drive me insane. but worse is that "just relax" or my favourite "be a teacher for 1 year then youll get maternity leave" comments. (Im in the final 5 weeks of teacher training)
All this on top of the fact ive already had a friend reject me because shes a mum and im not. I was suppose to do a pregnancy test tomorrow morning (6 days before AF) now i dont think i can bare another disappointment on top of the news.

Oh em - I know it's really hard to be happy for people when they announce their news. Its hurtful and puts you on the downwards roller coaster but I always imagine being able to tell my friends our big news one day and I hope that they feel happy/joyful - so I try to think of the big picture when I hear of someone else's bfp!
Zanzi- question for the smep successor! I read on the Internet that the smep is based on a 28 day cycle whereas I had a 29 day cycle. I'm thinking of bd on the odd numbers 11 13 etc until pos opk - what do you think??!! I don't want to wear dh out by bd every night in a row !
Cherished- how's your tww treating you, any symptoms?

Jacks, I've got a 27 day cycles and did even days, I guess you'd only really need to change it up a bit if you had a radically longer or shorter cycle. I'd say 29 days is close enough. I usually o on day 13 rather than day 14 and it worked ok. I think the crux of the plan is to get fresh healthy swimmers to replace the older ones and keep the ones in the important place fresh and healthy! Good luck for this cycle. I'm throwing some your way!

Hi everyone. So sorry that I haven't been in here for so long. Just needed to take a break from it all as I was getting a bit down. Bit of an update, couple of months ago dh found out he had v low sperm count of 2 mill. Started seeing my naturopath and chiro and now his last test was 17 mill! Still98% abnormal though but guess any improvement is positive. Spent a day at Monashivf couple of weeks ago and booked in for December treatment. Have now started on pill in prep for meds.
Last week, went into hospital for lap / hyst and treated for mild endo. Still pretty sore but heading back to work tomorrow. Doc said that he couldn't see any other fertility issues with me, which is good news. Go back on Wed to have stitches removed and to talk about our next step. Kinda hoping he says we don't need ivf but think that I just need to be a bit more realistic.
Anyway, so that's where things are at with me at the moment. I promise that I'll be on bh more often now and follow how you are all going. Really hope to hear of lots more bfp's soon! Xx
