Default 4 week old with watery poos?

    Hi all,
I've been on here a lot since bubba was born!
I know that newborns are meant to have loose, mustard type poos - which he has been doing.
But the last 12hours or so - his tummy has been rumbling and groaning, he's been screaming (except when feeding), has been doing explosive poos (still normal colour and consistency), still feeding well, and weeing lots.
Is this something to worry about or just normal digestive development?

Is bub breastfed? There is a huge range of normal when it comes to breastfed baby poos. Is bub screaming less when upright? Maybe reflux? Reflux babies tend to like to suck and feed as the sucking helps keep the acid down and the breastmilk acts as an antacid. If you're worried try keeping bub upright for 20 mins after a feed and burp well. Could just be wind good luck!

My DS went through a stage around 3 weeks when his belly was gurgling a lot and he would scream from wind pain. Poos are always pretty runny (breastfed). I put it down to his immature digestive system. It did seem to get better after about a week. Maybe see how it goes, but if it continues and u r concerned see a doc

All that starred for my ds around 3 weeks as well. He still has it. After much reading and doctors visit, we realised he has colic but not as severe as it can get. We give him colic relief. As long as we stick with a 4 hr interval he seems to be fine. If we don't we go back to square 1

Yes he's breatfed. And thanks ladies - I was basically after reassurance that it WAS a normal thing!
Babies - who would have though they would be soooo scary!
