I had one DD at 38.6 and she had no issues at all. My other DD was 38.4-5 Can't remember which one exactly and she had breathing issues and was in special care nursery, but you never really know if it was because she was early or if she would have had them anyway!

I had ds1 38 + 2 and he was just given the oxygen for a minute or two. That was after a long induced labour.

Ds2 was born at 38 +0 with no problems. He was crying before they had even lifted his body out.

I had my first at 37+2 and second at 39 exactly. No breathing issues at all, both were elective c-sections.

The reason DS was pulled out so early was they didn't listen to my dates, he was long and lanky.

All the best! I loved both of my electives.
