Gracie's CONGRATS ON THE JOB!!! yay!!! Must be a relief to know.
Giggle and angels- I think I know the posts u are referring to and I'm so sorry you had to read such ignorant and insensitive stuff. Have a lovely restful weekend and I sincerely hope it didn't get to you too much xox
Angelzzzz congrats and welcome!!! I'm a brand new-ey and these girls have been a godsend. All the best for sticky bub!
Hopeful maiden- you poor thing what a predicament. Hope you are a million % better before the plane ride and it is smooth 'sailing'.
WOP happy anniversary!!! You DO sound like an amazing wife
Mummylip yay for 5 wks!! How are you feeling???
Sorry for all I missed I only have an iPhone so remembering is sooo hard! Today I took notes lol!!
Afm..... I LOVE my new gp. He sent me for bloods today and a scan next week (which I am naughtily not going to do till the week after to save stress!!) and rang me 10 mins ago to tell me my hcg at 4w is 157... He just got the results and wanted to reassure me before the weekend! He apologized for calling so late god love him! So my hcg has more than tripled so even though I'd love stronger numbers they are going up nicely so I feel good for now. And finally someone who appears to actually care!!
I'm so happy with a doubling rate every 37.72 hours!!! Wooohooo!!!!

Wooooooo hooooooo congratulations Rach! AWESOME news, I'm so glad your levels are rising so well xxx

Rach - How nice to find a caring doc, it really does make a huge difference. Congrats on the levels too!! My GP always tells me its not your levels that count (the 'ok' range can be so large) it's how well they rise so I'm super happy for you!! So nice he called you so you can relax over the weekend.
Daisy - Hello !! Good to hear from you. We're getting close to the special 12 week mark! How have you been feeling other than very *cough* eager. I'm in the same boat with the dreams but only just starting to do the deed for real more often in the last week when m/s has given me a little break and I'm getting more comfortable with it during pregnancy. I'm sorry if you've told me before but do you have your NT scan booked yet? I'm going on the 7th and the countdown is killing me!!

Rach they have tripled. Awesome news!!! I bet you can rest easier tonight knowing that they have gone up so much. Glad you found the right GP. When will you be referred to an obs? Are you going public?
Daisypetal you go girl. We are also abstaining till 12 weeks it will be a tough run but definitely worth it. I did have a raunchy dream last night about DH and I taking an E and going for it, which is so funny because I have never used an E. Trippy dreams are just part of pregnancy.
Autumn love glad the plans are going ahead. Are going public or private. When is your next scan?
WOP Happy anniversary/ birthday to your DP. Hope you have a safe trip home. 16 weeks has gone so fast!
Gracie's mummy was your scan today? How did it go? I am anxious to find out.
AFM: Went to my obs today and he was awesome listened and so caring. His wife is a crack up too she is the receptionist and a trained midwife. He was very happy with my levels and she evened joked about twins. He is sending me for a blood test his MOnday to check the levels have gone up again and then one the following Monday. He is very thorough. He also gave me a referral to the scan place and I am so excited for my dating scan on 13th December. I have been feeling nauseous off and on, so tired and starting to get a headache. All good signs

Was checking back for scan results Graciesmummy- are you holding out on us? Don't you know i get nervous?! Please come back and tell us lots of wonderful things about Bumpkin
Daisy! I had super orgasms in first trimester and was taking every opportunity. Now things are ..... odd. Body responds to everything differently? Hope you're getting your fill by whatever means necessary!
Why are OBs saying to wait?
25-11-2011 20:56 #606
@mummylip... I'll be public. One of my specialists was a high risk obgyn at the local hospital and I loved her. Will be going back to her as soon as the viability scan is done on the 8th. What about you??

Hi girls - sorry to keep you all in suspense but my scan isn't until Tues at 10am. I don't think I posted that it was today... Although I wouldn't put it past me. Lol
I'll let you know how it goes though, I promise. I'm really very worried there won't be a heart beat. I know I only saw it 2 weeks ago but my MS has eased right off, I have no bump, no cramps, no nothing really... The next few days will be long... Might break out the Doppler tomorrow and give it another try, haven't tried since 8wks.

I'm feeling good Autumn! MS is starting to settle down & I'm just unbelievably grateful for every day & so super excited for what's ahead! How are you feeling? That's ok, I'm not having a NT scan, but I'll countdown with you to yours!
You're so right Mummylip, abstaining is hard but so worth it. I can't believe next week is 12 weeks for me.. DH said to me last night he'll be so scared to do it again.. One of my girlfriends told me they didn't DTD her whole pregnancy! I think we'll start again in a couple of weeks time, I know we'll both be a nervous wreck though.. Glad to hear things at the OB went well! He sounds lovely, it's nice to be in good hands I'm so happy for you x
I think I too am experiencing those amazing first trimester O's WOP! OB is saying to wait as last time it was what started the bleeding.. Will never know for sure if it was just a coincidence but we're too scared to risk it just yet. How's your bump coming along? I too have an already cushy belly & am wondering how long it will take before I start to show.
Hugs Gracie's mummy! We're at that stage where the MS is easing as we cruise into the second trimester, but there's no belly yet & we can't feel movement.. I know exactly the worry you feel, but I am sure that everything is ok, and your scan on Tuesday will confirm that! xxx I was just wondering about your Doppler! Let us know how you go, although I think I read 14 weeks somewhere so don't get disheartened if you can't hear it just yet!

Graciesmummy - crazy, how did it get decided you were getting scanned yesterday? better relax a little longer then. You shouldn't have a bump so early anyway honey and if ms is easing off, then that's a good thing. You're probably just heading for a cruisy second trimester!
Daisy, I just look fatter than before! Baby bump has pushed my chubby belly up and forward It's only when I'm lying down you can see and feel bump. But I know it's there and I still have a million preggie symptoms so I'm happy enough.
Boobs still leaking a bead of colostrum at a time and new veins are popping up over belly, hips and boobs. I have skin tags (?!) which I'm attributing to bub too. They popped up on my belly and I never get them. Body hair is just SILLY. I don't normally shave or wax anything. I quit when I was about 20, seemed silly when I had so little anyway and DH has the Lebanese hair genes But I'm thinking a visit to the waxer might be in order when I get home..... Also seem to bruise a lot. I thought maybe because of all the extra blood volume?
Anyway, will be home by 9ish tomorrow! Looking forward to it at this stage because today has been infuriating.
all round x

Sorry I haven't been around/replying, I can't keep up.
Just have a couple of questions, if it's ok...wondering if mild/moderate cramping is in any way "normal", for 8 - 9 wks? I haven't had any bleeding or anything, just mild cramps, and I don't know whether to worry about it or not! Actually I'll worry either way, but unsure if it's reasonable worry?!
Also I remember reading somewhere that the sore breasts thing will reduce over time, as your body gets used to stuff. But I can't remember where I read it, to check up. I think mine are less sore, not much but a little, and it's just something more to worry about .
