    Default Measuring Big?

So I am 28 weeks and my Ob measured my fundal height (I think that's the word I am looking for) and said I am measuring big.

I was normal BMI before pregnancy, have put on 7kg since falling pregnant. My glucose test came back fine, BP is fine. My DH and I were both small to average size at birth so no giants in the family.

Was anyone told they were big but didn't have a huge baby or problems?

I was told I was measuring big (but I did have a 9oz baby sorry

It can be because of a number of reasons:
Your further along then you think.
    theres a few in there
Or because bubs had a growth spurt this week
There's other reasons too I'm sure but I doubt any of it is related to your weight

Thanks everyone, I am hoping they are wrong and she will measure right at the next appt. I do seem to be carrying high and apparently my mum was absolutely huge with me. Everyone told her she was having a massive baby and I was 5 pound. Fingers crossed!

My GP (shared care) thought I was too big and was concerned I have polyhydramnios so she sent me for an ultrasound. An Ob checked it and he said I have slightly too much fluid but not enough to call it polyhydramnios but it needs to be monitored in case it does turn into PH.

I measured big with my second and he was a big baby but i had absolutely no problems having him, I only got a slight graze which I wouldn't have if I wasn't on my back. My third was measuring right on track and he was big too (10lb) and I also had him with no problems at all, no graze or tares (he was a water birth though).

measurements can be really off, even ultrasounds can be really inaccurate. Even if you did have a big baby, it does not necessarily mean that there will be complications.
