Good to see lots of newbies and chat going on in this forum!
Magic, glad your dad is feeling better, hope he doesnt have to go back to hospital to soon!
Thats a long wait for results, hope you get some good news soon. Yep will have a handful to organise for the shower, didnt realise someone else was suppose to organise it! id rather do it myself now ive got the time. yep playing games but no theme, just blue and pink balloons.
Southcoast, i put my DH on menevit but i think sperm take 3 months to improve. he's were crap as he is overweight, unhealthy and cyles/wears skins so all no no's!! dont give up hope. Do you have private health as fertility tx is mega expensive. i believe the public system do it but a huge wait list. good luck!
Tin, congrats on the house! how exciting good luck with TTC
Elly, i didnt really like the internet cheap OPK's, some of the girls on here do temping too. just go for it as much as possible. do you have regular cycles? Im sort of dreading invites so many people to the baby shower! everyone has said yes so far so it may be over 30 people!! ive got a pretty big house so no dramas. Pick up cot on Friday!
Lizzy, good luck with the weight loss, sounds like your doing well. yes its very daunting the whole process and not as easy as it seems!! dont stress to much yet, maybe after a few more cycles, go back to the GP to see if he can do some testing. Is your DP healthy and fertile?
Chic, that book sounds like it might be a funny read! i know MIL means well. shes already got 3 grandchildren too. She is taking time off work for the delivery i told DH not to let her know im in labour until the last few hours. Im really praying that your lucky this time. are you on that progesterone stuff?? must be costing you guys are fortune.
Lovepink, how are you? your big scan must be coming up soon?
Summa, hello! hope your are keeping well.
Silent, hows things?

Catching up with everything...Finally!!
I haven't been here for awhile and it's exciting to see so many new "faces"!!
Sazra, Lizzzy, BBoo, Southcoast, Stubborn Ox. I hope your time here is short and sweet. There are so many amazing women here who help in so many ways, don't fear in drawing on their knowledge and sharing anything.. nothing is ever silly or too small! I've learnt that!!!
Lisa80 - Thanks for your thoughts. Only 2 more shifts?! That's friggin awesome...you must be so excited!! Have you decided what you're going to do to fill your days in once these shifts are done and dusted? How's the baby shower planning going? Yay to buying things online! Have you found a good website or is it just for ease?
Southcoast - It's good to hear that you have the beginning of some answers...my are crossed that it gets better!
Tinuviel - Congrats on the new house!! Such an exciting start to your new journey! Are you moving areas too or is it an area you already know well? Here's hoping there has been some celebration in the form of and if not yet, that when you move in you "Christen" every room (2 days apart around ovulation lol)
Ellystar - Thanks for thinking of me .. i'm doing well... will put more detail in my AFM section.. Like you i'm going to start using OPK's for the first time at the end of Sept/early Oct...so i'll be watching anything you learn closely! lol I bought some off Ebay that were recommended in another thread about a month ago, but then found out we were UTD so just put them in the cupboard, will have to pull them out now! I completely understand your mixed emotions about your appointment Vs falling pregnant in the next two cycles... it all happens in the next month or so!
Lizzzy - 2 months? Seems like a long time when you really want something doesn't it... here's hoping you can bring some good news to the forum soon! Keep up the great work with the eating.. i think i need to take a leaf out of your book.. maybe you could share some favourite and easy recipes! lol
Magicmud - Thanks for all your support! That's such good news about your dad at the moment! Bet you're relieved! Is there a masterplan from here forward? I think i read somewhere he was due to see some specialist??
Chicparis - thanks for thinking of me and all the support and info you have provided... i'm in a good place (more info below) How are you feeling since the transfer? I have everything crossed for you (including my legs at the moment lol) hehehe
Stubborn Ox - Sorry to hear about your M/C. I too have just recently suffered a miscarriage. We were devastated but like you are looking forward. We're planning on trying again in a few weeks (have to have my gall bladder removed first.) Here's to a sticky one soon!!!
Nocturne - Thanks for your thoughts, i am doing very well (more info below). How fantastic to be in the second trimester! I can't imagine how exciting it must be! Seeing as you mentioned that your belly is popping.. are you going to be sharing your "growth" with us? I love seeing the belly grow! I hope that you take some time for yourself in the week off... and just incase i forget Happy Birthday for the 17th!!!
SilentFrockery - Thanks for the love... hope things are going well for you and DP? How are you travelling emotionally with all of this?
Summastarlet - Thank you for your kind words... we definitely looked out for each other and are now in a good place. How amazing that DP could feel the kicking! I'm with everyone else.. photos of the nursery please! What colours have you gone for? Is there a theme? How far along are you now?
Lovepink - How exciting to start feeling like your belly is popping out.. will you be doing a bump gallery? I would HAVE to find out...if you do find out will you be telling? That's always the next difficult decision!
I've gone back as far as i could.. hope i haven't missed anything major?! And if i've missed anyway hope all is well!!!
AFM - It's been a week since the original bleeding. We are both in a very good place, and think it's because we are both fighters.. we were devastated for a couple of days..we both took Thursday and Friday as time off from work to be together and all we did was lay on the couch or in front of the fire together and decided on our Action Plan. It's strange how so many friends have come out of the wood work to tell us that they too suffered miscarriages. I have been blown away with how many people have kept this secret like it's something taboo or to be ashamed of? We figured that we would be as open about the M/C as we were with the Pregnancy (yes we basically told everyone as soon as we knew.) And i honestly think that that has helped us, as we didn't have to hide anything. So we are going back to the original plan (some of you may remember that i was supposed to be getting my Gall Bladder out the day after we found out we were pregnant). I have rebooked my gall bladder removal surgery for Tuesday 27th September. Was hoping it could be earlier but that was the earliest the surgeon could fit me in.. otherwise i would have to wait until the week of 17th October. This does pose a little issue as i am currently on placement for Uni, but am just going to push that out more and work is fine with me coming back later if needed.. I am so glad that i have such a supportive network at work and home... Looking forward to getting the surgery over and done with but a little nervous about DTD until then. So we've decided that there will be no and instead we are going to be "creative" lol... and then once i'm home and recovered get back on it! hehe... I'm looking forward to that! I'm hoping that my cycles just go straight back to normal (wishful thinking?) and hopefully that will see me have one normal cycle before we TTC again. I'm also going to attempt to use OPK's and maybe take temperatures as well, as i still feel that i have no idea when i ovulate.
Here's to the 27th September being tomorrow! lol

Lizzy - Congrats on losing weight and having your BP get better. Well done! I'm sure your healthier eating will help overall with everything. Good plan.
Elly - Yeh it could have been the museum, I can't quite remember! Boo for AF showing up! OPKs will definitely be of help to you, I prefer to use Lullaby conceptions OPKs as they are fairly cheap and very quick delivery, and reliable. In a pinch though, I'll grab some First response OPKs from the supermarket, but they are a bit more pricey.
Tin - Congrats on the house!!!
Southcoast - Thanks. If you're interested in supplements, My DH has been on the following:
Co Enzyme Q10
It's really helped improved his sperm quality and concentration. Other good things are a broad antioxidant and probiotics.
Lisa - I spoke too soon about Dad, he ended up in hospital again!
Yes someone else is supposed to throw you a baby shower! That way you don't have to do any work or cleaning up afterwards!
Although throwing your own would have it's benefits too, you get to have it exactly how you want it.
Sounds like you're chewing through the baby purchases now! Yay for only 2 shifts left to go!!!
Angel - Don't exactly have a masterplan yet. Apparently there's not a great deal you can do about strokes apart from go on blood thinners. He's having lots of tests done though, had an utlrasound of his carotid artery yesterday and got the all clear there. He is having his heart checked out next week.
So glad to hear that you have a good support network with your friends. It's such a hard thing to go through by yourself and it really is strange how M/C is considered a taboo subject that can't be spoken of.
It;s terrific that you can go ahead with your GB operation. The sooner that's out of the way, the sooner you will be in tip top shape!
AFM - As mentioned above, Dad had another episode yesterday but luckily my Uncle was with him at the time and looked after him. Then he had another episode while seeing the specialist and got sent straight back to hospital over night for observation. The Doctor has forbidden him from driving or flying for at least the next 9 months!
I told Dad he could come and stay with me for a week or so at a time until he gets better because he is alone at home all day! I think Mum could use the break as well. I may live to regret that offer though, as I don't get along very well with the old man for long periods of time (like more than an hour!)
So if a stroke doesn't kill him, I probably will!

Angel good luck with your gall bladder op - hope all goes well. Here's hoping the 27th comes & goes quickly - then you can get back to business!
Southcoast my DH is taking Menevit, Fish Oil, Vit C & Zinc - it was all advised by our pharmacist/herbalist. Hope things go well for you & your OH.
Magic sorry to hear that your dad had to have another hospital stay. I hope they have some good news for you & your family soon. Also hope you don't end up killing him - that would be awkward
Lisa I don't know how my DH will go (once we get our ) watching a birth video. He's an unknown quantity when it comes to these things - he's quite reserved & likes to be in control of situations so we shall see
tinuviel good luck with the move
AFM - AF arrived last night so starting another cycle - hopefully this is the one! Planning to use my OPKs this cycle (just internet cheapies) to be a little more proactive but also going to try to as many days as possible from CD10. we catch the eggy!
