Default grass covered by clover. How to get rid of it?

Does anyone know about clover growing on grass and whether it's a good thing or bad? I've read that it can be good for the grass but that it's also a weed and can kill the grass.

I live in a villa complex and as owners (there are 6 owners of 6 villas) we have to decide what to do with it and some of the owners don't want to remove the clover. I don't know anything about it and would like to know a bit about it before I put my 2 cents in.

We have to let the gardeners know if we decide to get rid off it and they'll spray it to kill it.

I'm just looking at alternatives. I think I noticed the other day that we have some on our front lawn which is only part of our villa so I'm looking at non chemical measures also.

I have no idea sorry! But having recently just laid turf in our backyard I've found that you can actually but the turf with the clover in it already, so I would assume this is what has been done, it is a weed but also used as a filler as it stays green...

if there is a lot of it and it gets killed with weed killer the grass is going to need to be resown as you'll probably find most the green is in fact clover. So it would depend on how much work the gardeners will put into it after the clover is dead as it will look pretty crappy!
