    Default Indian from UK

    Hey Loveshack,
I was actually born and brought up in the UK but consider myself Indian. My parents are from the Punjab area in India but have lived in England for over 40 years. We have travelled to India many times over the years as we still have family there.

I moved to Aus almost 10 years ago after hubby and I got married. Love living here. I think it's a great place to bring up kids. How about you? What's your life story? What brings you to Aus?

    Hey Gals,
Hope you all are well. Priya, Congrats on your pregnancy. How is it all going?

    Loveshack,
What can I say. My parents loved the name so for better or worse I have to live with it. It's not a traditional punjabi name and I guess I'm not a traditional punjabi girl!

I know it's hard being without family and your community or network of close friends. It takes a while for any new place to feel like home. Hang in there! Are you involved in any mother's groups. They are often a great network for first time mums.

    Nicole,
You're so young! Only 19. My mum had me at 19 and we have a great relationship. I love it when people see us together and say "wow, you're mum looks so young". I think you'll be the best of friends.

    Sunita
