As first time parents, it can sometimes be a bit overwhelming with the amount of information we need to process and sift through.I know that ob's don't come for free. I was just asking if everyone else was paying the same amount.reading a lot on here lately about people surprised at private ob fees, surely people look into this before booking in?

Medicare changed the rules on the rebate) but I'll still be using him again for number two (If he's still practicing then).

Yeah, it used to be that you get 80% of your medical expenses over $1000 in a year back, or something like that. But then the government limited it to $270 for obstetricians, or thereabouts.

You'll also get 20% back in your taxes for out of pocket medical expenses (over $1500 I think).
