Um, not that long. Especially with DD2, as she wanted to be just like her big sister. She is 2 now and hasn't been in a highchair for ages... I think she only used it for a few months?

Just wanted to add that she is very stubborn and very independent! And the kids have a little table so they sit down together to eat a lot of their meals. I think once she started walking she wanted to be eating with her sister...

My boys are 18 months and nearly 3 and are both still in high chairs! They are just the ikea ones, so they sit at the table instead of using the trays. I find it more convenient and it means they're at the right level for the table.
They probably started in them about 7-8months? When they could sit up unassisted as the ikea ones dont offer any support, before that they were in the bumbo with a tray.

- Achievements:
DD1 - went to a Fisher Price booster at the table when she was 2
DD2 - is 16 months old and is now using the booster, and DD1 has moved to an ordinary chair.
My kids are off the charts in height though, so that helps.

DS2 is 22mnths now, and I think we probably stopped using it when he was around 14-15mnths from memory, but with both my boys, they've graduated to a booster seat attached to a dining chair- which still has straps so they can' be strapped in if need be, it just means they are sitting at the table with us.
DS1 is 4.5yrs, and he still likes to sit on his booster (unstrapped) as its easier for him to eat perched up a bit higher.

Ds1 was in a highchair until he was 3, then moved to a booster at the table, now he sits in his wheelchair at the table now he's a bit higher. Dd went into a booster at 8 months & so will 5 month old ds2 in a month or 2.
