Default Is it possible to have a VBAC water birth

Hello this is my first post on this site so I hope I am doing it properly. I am 2 months pregnant with my 2nd child. Does anyone know if there are any birthing centres or hospitals that allow a VBAC water birth? I live in Cairns but haven't decided whether I will have the baby in Cairns or in Melbourne. So I am exploring my options now. Thanks

HI Felixdacat - am guessing you've just had your baby!!! Congrats/Good luck and am just wondering if you made it to Cairns and how it all went. I'm in the same boat myself now.

Two friends have just had beautiful water birth VBACs at home with independent midwives. Is this an option you are interested in?

You sure can! VBAC waterbirths are a normal way to have your baby. You may have to talk to the hospital or birth centre where your planning to birth to see if waterbirths are offered and of not, change locations if thats an option available to you.
    Good Luck!

However, many birth centres are having their eligibility criteria tightened including not allowing vbacs or even pregnancies where ivf were used to assist conception .
