Just wanted to say that I've been reading along, and you all are such an inspiration to me!!
I'm a single mummy of 1, and after some problems with my fallopian tubes, my only possibility of having more children is through IVF. I always thought that I would eventually meet the man of my dreams, and go on to have more children...but with my DS getting older, and myself still being single, I'm starting to consider going through IVF by myself with donor sperm, as I want him to have a sibling close in age to him. I'm starting to be afraid that I'll never meet someone, and miss out on my opportunity to have another much-wanted child!
Where should I begin??

Leannep - you're lovely! Thank you so much for remembering. You're the first one to wish me Happy Birthday. I have 50 family and friends coming to my house for a BBQ so will just make this a quick reply.
Hope everyone is having a great weekend!!

wish.......... happy 40th.... welcome to the naughty 40s...although to be frank Im still waiting for the naughties...lol..lol... I hope you had a lovely 40th.
electric.... I would start with a referral to a fertility specialist... with your age you should fall quite quickly with IVF.. I think your chances are about 60%... and you will probably get frosties.. to save for another sibling. Where do you live??
I know victoria has issues with sperm donor use with single women... every other state seems ok.. beware..sperm if it comes from the usa is expensive..$1000 a pop..ouch.. if you are lucky enough to have a friend then obviously it is much cheaper but the sperm will have to be quarenteened for 6months before they will let you use it.. and the donor has to go through a general screen...
not much going on..still freezing..snowing.
Flatmate left this am...yay...so nice to have the house back... and of course got 1/2 my fridge and freezer and pantry back... one of the things I so hate about sharing... it is just bliss... Ive got my drying room back...yay..so there is a lot of washing up there already.. I can feel my stress levels dropping already...aaaaaahhhh.....
might have to make something yummy to celebrate..
