5 year old DS.......ASD, ADHD, OCD, ODD, SPD.

No one in my family has been diagnosed, all though I suspect my DH has gone undiagnosed since he was a child

DS has a sacral dimple, and TBH I didn't know this was related. None of the Dr's or Paed's has ever mentioned this to us Wow !

Sorry to hijack.......about this sacral dimple......DS has one, but what am I looking for in it?
Is it going to be an open hole or a closed one (if it's not that deep will the end of it be visible?).

I'm Googling, but it's making me very nervous now.

Bambino, Please don't be alarmed. I'm a teacher, not a doctor!

My daughter has sensory processing disorder and a sacral dimple. I noticed that every child/ adult I know with sensory issues also has a sacral dimple. I asked the question on bub hub because I am thinking of doing a research project on it next year. I also have a few occupational therapists asking clients and keeping a tally. I have found that every child with a sensory processing disorder as the primary disorder (so no other disorders) has a sacral dimple. I have no where near enough numbers to prove anything.

There is no medical evidence or current research that connects the sacral dimple to sensory processing disoder.

Your son's sacral dimple would have been checked out at birth, and if it was cause for concern there would have been further tests. The sacral dimple is only a concern if it is open (well this is what I was told!).
