Default *spin off* does anyone have a good relationship with MIL?

I have problems with my DHs whole family but after reading lots of threads regarding MIL it would be great to hear some stories of a good relationship with their MIL!

I'm sorry I have nothing positive to say about my inlaws. According to them I should be grateful I have hubby because nobody else would have wanted someone with 2 kids. Despite him being a complete liar about most aspects of his life. Hope you find some who does have a good relationship.

My mil is really nice but an absolute nutcase!

But a happy story would be my dad and his mil. (my mum's mum)
She took him in after his Dad died and his mum moved away. She loves him to bits and he adores her!

I consider myself one of the lucky ones who has a great mil. She helps me out when I need her, is great with ds. We enjoy a lot of similar things and I can see where my dh got his relaxed nature from. Only once has she said something that upset me and I know she said it before she realized that she did. She does not live far away but we probably see her once a fortnight on average. If we sell before we have bought a house we will be moving into their granny flat. So hopefully my opinion won't change

But DH and my mum get on like a house on fire. My mum is awesome and sh1t nah, i don't know they have only had one issue and that was when he knocked me up within 2 months of us meeting... tehe... but they have never had an issue and she treats him well and viceaversa.

    I love my MIL.

Don't get me wrong, she does some things that annoy me, but mostly she's fab! She does a lot for us and is very supportive.

Oh, and she's always on my side when Dh and I have an argument haha

I don't have a MIL She passed way when DH was quite young so I never knew her.

I reckon we'd be like two peas in a pod if she were still here today though
