Default Which is better for the environment?

Firstly, let me start off by saying.....I use tissues to blow my nose, I will always use tissues.

I have tried handkerchiefs before in the past, but find they gross me out too much!!! Blergh!

What I want to know is, what is the most environmentally firendly way to dispose of them?

Rubish bin - contributing to waste?

    OR

Toilet, but not flushing until someone goes to the toilet - this still uses water though?

Is either better than the other? Am I wasting my time worring about it? Am I slowly going crazy?

I'd say this, unless you are sick where I would probably flush as certain bacteria thrive in soil and moisture.

Ok, add to that list that I have no worm farm and no garden!

Being a nurse...I'm a germaphobe! I currently toilet them, as I had tissues sitting on top of the bin. They always seem to fall out when I take the rubbish out, then I have to pick them up and touch them....eeewwwwwiies!!!

Gawd, you must all think that I am crazy!!!
