    you know what?? as long as you have been making repayments on the CC, the bank shouldn't CANCEL the card if you ask for a moratorium they will just note down to NOT offer you any increases. They WANT you to keep in debt as they make money that way LOL!!

    Thanks becsmum, I just bit the bullet and called the financial hardship team from my institution and they were lovely! The guy I spoke to put in an app for me over the phone to have a suspension of interest for 3months. for those three months I can't use the card, but at the end of the period the creditcard just reverts to usual. That should save me around $600! YAY
