@mummymaybe: I had late onset OHSS when I got my BFP (nearly fell off the bed in emergency when they told me. Last thing I was expecting to hear).

Anyhoo..yes..look out for the signs..mine were severe bloating, headaches, excessive thirst, nausea, urine got darker like apple juice @ output slowly got less @ less especially in relation to the amount I was drinking @ stomach pain...why OHSS never even entered my mind at the time I do not know??

I upped my protein intake, got stuck into the sports drinks @ Sustagen too. Some kind of heatpacks on standby @ some decent painkillers on hand would also be a good idea. Wazza will prob give you a script for something if you ask.

Good Luck Luv!!! Hope you'll be ok...

Thankyou all so much! Turns out wazzas patients are also super lovely, not just the man himself. I will get started on those supplements that I can get without a script. I will mention the DHEA to my current FS next week at my follow up to see if she thinks I deserve a script - it will be our breaking up appointment so might be awkward. At least I'm moving which is a good excuse to leave the clinic- I'm so glad not to cycle there again. Will definitely get DH on the additional supplements too as our primary issue is MFI- if anyone else has any additional hints for mfi do let me know. @mummymaybe - that is quite the egg load you have there!! Oh my. You must be sore!!! Are you going to work still?! I've heard hydralyte etc is the way to go. How many eggs have you produced previously? Is your oestrogen high? I often have lots of follicles but my oestrogen isn't equally high and the follicles are empty. If you were a poor responder before you are certainly getting quite the response now! Are you on different stim drugs and at much higher doses than previously or only slightly higher? I think I read you are on LH- that boosted my numbers for our second round. Hope you are ok- at least they are aware and will keep a close eye on you.

Default Dr Warren De Ambrosis - Wazza appreciation thread

@Ducky01, we have MFI and as well as the supplements my DH has weekly acupuncture. His sperm analysis has improved since he started. It doesn't hurt and DH finds it rather relaxing. DH has herbs but won't take then be cause they taste yucky. I also see the same lady and I have to say it really helps with symptom management.

It is a rather big haul, my 1st cycle 5eggs 3 mature and then the 2nd cycle converted to IUI as only one follicle. I'm on different drugs and much higher doses than previously.

My hormone levels are high but not alarmingly so. I also used a different trigger so hopefully that keeps OHSS at bay.

My work place is inflexible by its nature (can't come late or leave early) and is extremely high pressure so I have reduced to 2 days a week and have now taken additional leave instead of my planned Christmas leave. No work until January!!!

@Ducky01 - I booked my appointment in September and got an appointment for July 2015. I was devastated when I missed my first call about a cancelled appointment so I lived with my phone in my pocket from then on and got another call the following week which was a month ago now Call them every now and then and make sure you get any blood work that you might get done sent to them also. Get your referral sent to them and your file from your current clinic .......even if you spread each of these things out, each one arriving there will be a little reminder to them that you are eagerly awaiting a cancelled appointment! Good luck !
@eager - I'm so sorry to read you've had no luck so far, that must be so tough I think it's good if he's being straight up and honest with you instead of draining your bank balance dry but I would hope that he would let you cycle at least once or twice more if he knew that you understood his opinion and yet you still really wanted to try some more with your own eggs?? You did after all still get two to transfer with your second IVF cycle....if it was zero-to-transfer a few times in a row even though he had thrown everything at you drug/supplement-wise then I understand why there'd be no hope left? Is age a factor with you? If so, I probably wouldn't waste my time and precious eggs on IUI but that's just my opinion. Truly wishing you your BFP miracle xxxx

Wowee @mummymaybe, that is one fantastic hawl of eggs you've got growing in there !!!! Fantastic news!!!!.....though I'm sorry if your feeling uncomfortable My Oestrogen was just starting to really take off a few days before my EPU and I was determined not to do a freeze-all cycle so I went nuts on the water, poweraide, sustagen, added high proteins foods to each meal and included lots of fibre so my ovaries had plenty of space without any constipation getting in the way. Can't wait to hear how you go on Thursday (what days does Warren have off over Chrissy, do you know??) wishing you the very best of luck that you get a beautiful number of super quality eggs and then emby's Xxx

AFM- well....I *think* I got my BFP?! I don't have my hCG bloods drawn until Thursday to see if it's viable but it's looking pretty good so far. I am of-course super happy but very overwhelmed at the same time as this is my 5th pregnancy this year. It's been a pretty full on year when I look back....I can't quite believe it still! I thought I'd be due for a flat-out BFN for sure but, here I am. My first M/C was on Christmas Eve/day last year and I truly hope I don't spend another Christmas stuck in the middle of that nightmare again I am drawing hope from the fact that I'm pretty much on all new-to-me drugs and the fact that even though I still did this cycle with my current FS, Dr WDA has majorly tinkered with my drugs/supplements that I can only hope help gets us across the line to actually reaching our goal of a live, healthy bubba in our arms in oh...another 8 months to be exact!

@Ladydee, such fantastic news, I really hope it sticks. This part must be much worse for you than the TWW.

I'm not sure when he is working over Christmas but he did say that the day hospital will be closed from Christmas until mid January.

Insomnia is horrible DH snoring on one side and the dog on the floor also snoring. I might as well be at work :-(

Thanks mummymaybe Yes, this part has been much much worse for me so far this year. All of last year was spent chasing that elusive BFP and then I don't know what happened but all of this year has been spent trying to keep one!

Oh lol.... even the dog is snoring?! You need to invest in some earplugs I woke up at 3am BUSTING to go to the loo (all that water trying to swallow my "desert" of pills after dinner!) but I didn't want to dilute my first morning wee so I held on until I was about to pee my pants at about 3:45am and just had to go. Best . Wee. Ever.... lol.....now I'm awake comparing sticks....

Congratulations @Ladydee so hope this is your cycle. Ive just read back a bit and saw some of your and others injection shots will make all the bruising worthwhile and thankfully no longer necessary! So not looking forward to that bit myself!
