I was 38 when I did ivf. Wazza was brutally honest but also encouraging. Definitely worth seeing him

    Hello Ladies

Please don't give up hope. After 2 failed IVF with a FS I decided to give it a go with Wazza and finally got my BFP. I am now 8 weeks pregnant and hope this one will stick...
Wazza is worth the wait! But get in quick as the waiting list is long...

    Hi Leisylou.....

Firstly, I want to tell you how sorry I am to read about your previous MC's, you poor Luv, I can only imagine how heartbreaking it must have been for both your DP and yourself

Now...as to Wazza. As the other Girls have already said, he's the type to call a spade a shovel but does so in an empathetic, kind and caring way as that's the kind of man he is. In saying that, I know that he will help you and your DP if he feels he can. He won't blow smoke up your ars* and tell you he can help if he feels he can't. He's one of those rare FS where $ is not the motivating factor. The man genuinely cares (and he also has a great sense of humour too).

He will leave no stone unturned in trying to find out what the issue is, whether that be an issue in your oven, hormonal or quite possibly/probably, egg quality. It's great that you're still ovulating and your hormone levels are still within the normal ranges, but those things don't reveal the quality of your eggs which unfortunately will be on the decline, as are every woman's once she passes 35 and accelerates even faster once she gets into her late 30's and onwards. It would definitely be worth discussing testing your embryo's to make sure they are chromosomally viable/normal as well if you can afford it as it's quite exxy.

In saying that, he's the kind of FS who thinks outside the box and will throw everything at you drug protocol-wise to get you the best result. You're definitely still in with a chance in my opinion, and you won't know until you try and Wazza is definitely the FS you want to try with plus he'll give you an honest opinion about how many attempts you should make realistically. As you can see from my signature, I transferred over to him after 3 failed attempts with my previous FS (same Fertility Clinic) and got my BFP on my second Cycle with Wazza.

Yes, there's a long waiting list to see him, but ask to be put on the cancellation list and you'll no doubt get in a lot sooner. Make sure you have copies of your history to either take to the appointment with you or fax to his office. I wish you and your DP all the best Luv

I have my appointment with WDA for Feb next year. I am 34 years old am up to cycle 6, three stims and two frozen transfers. I am hoping he can help us out after a nightmare year of treatments with a leading clinic in Sydney and a bout of mastitis caused by them at my last stim. I tend to stand back from commenting on my clinics but have said a few things and when I had a fair bit to say about my last clinic the ladies come on here and go oh he made me pregnant or they are awesome so each to their own I guess.

I had an original waiting time of almost a year @Leisylou and I got a cancellation appointment about half way through my wait. Worth every day though, we had our seventh stim today (1st with Wazza) and he picked up the most eggs I've ever had!

I cant believe I only just found this thread.
I'm another Wazza success story. We have dine two cycles with Wazza. The first with DH snd I on our own which was a BFN. Wazza said my eggs were pokr quality so we tried a donor cycle with my sister and we got our BFP on the first transfer and a frosty as well.

We had previously been with another FS and after 6 cycles with him, even he said there was nothing else he could do. We were a difficult case.

We have just started donor cycle #2 and my sister started jabbing yesterday. So FX baby # 2 will be here next year.

On the topic of singing during ET. Yes the man has ruined the Play School theme song for me lol. My DD watches it all the time and I have a giggle everytime I hear it. The sad thing is I usually sing along cause I'm high on Valium and Pethadine.

I think the flyer on the reception desk said something about the 15th-ish of August. I'm going back on Tuesday so I'll double check.
