    Default Nub/ Gender Guess?

    Hi,

We had our 12 week scan today and everything went well (baby was measuring actually 12 1/2 weeks).

Any guesses for gender based on the 'nub'??

    Thanks ladies.

I can't see a nub there, do you have another photo?

Telling from this early on is really tricky, but also you need a between the legs shot to get a good indication. Do you have one of those?

No, no other photos that would help. Never mind!

Hi. I didn't know what a 'nub' was so searched around for explanation today. Member "Done and Dusted" in the thread "wtf is a nub?" explained it wonderfully, she had an attachment with photos of boys and girls as they develop and everything. Very useful. Maybe you could look at those photos and see which one looks most like yours? I'm sorry - I'm not very computer-savvy and don't know how to 'attach' her 'link' (or whatever it's called). But if you put "angle of the dangle" in the little search box at the top right of this screen, you should find her.

The 'nub' is not visible in this photo, sorry. It needs to be right down the middle of the body between the legs, you should also see the bladder in a nub shot (seen as a little dark spot because it's got fluid in it).

I've been debating in my own mind (and then with my husband) whether or not to find out the gender. My husband is happy to find out or to wait - whatever is best mentally for me!! He knows that since we have two boys and I'm really hoping for a girl, it might be best to find out earlier if it is in fact a boy, so we can deal with that and then look forward to a boy, instead of experiencing any kind of disappointment at the birth....

    Cookie087 - I hope you're right with your guess!!
