Kiwi Thanks for the birthday wishes, Happy Birthday to you too.
Digby Happy Birthday for yesterday, its wonderful to hear Zahli is on the mend. I read your story and wow, I have every faith that you will pull through and this time your currently going through will be a distant memory in the not too distant future
Maybe I know how you're feeling I had very little morning sickness but man was I tired, it does go away and then it comes back, but it is such a wonderful feeling knowing you have a bubba growing inside
AFM not too much to report here, off to see the ob tomorrow for the usual check up, I think I have to have a scan soon to check my placenta has moved up as they hoped it was very close to the cervix. I feel huge at the moment bub is sitting very high usually somewhere very close to the right rib....ouch!

Digby....major big to you! what a traumatic time you and your family have been through!!! She's definetely a little fighter!! Hope you first night with her in your room went well! You're now the awesome little family of 4 that you always wanted to be!! Hope that the traumatic birth can in time be a distant memory and that all her smiles and giggles and joy she will bring will make up for the terrible time you had getting her out! You've done an amazing job!!! I certainly couldn't imagine what it would be like to push out a 10pounder!!
Kiwi and Country.....Happy Birthday!!! Hope you both have a lovely lovely day!
Country...wow....you're next!!! If you need a text buddy let me know and I will PM you my number!! goodluck at your ob appt! hope all is well and everything is where it should be!!
Maybe and Livvy....try not to analyse all your symptoms or lack of symptoms too much - this from someone who was the queen of analysing. I know we all want/ed MS so so so much but I got none, i also got no kicking of the ribs, no bladder dancing, not a whole lot of tiredness (except say about 8pm). Basically, the only evidence that i was pregnant was a belly and the baby at the end! . Every pregnancy is different and here's hoping you have a smooth, painfree, easygoing pregnancy!
Sorry, gotta finish quickly.......BUT....did anyone use those safe sleeper thingys to prevent baby rolling in their cot?? We use one and it's great but i'm wondering if it's hindering charlies rolling at all? all others his age seem to be rolling in their cot/sleep and seem quite more advanced in rolling/sitting than Charlie is and i'm wondering if my stopping him rolling in his sleep is hindering his rolling/sitting all together?? I'm not necessarily comparing but i also dont want him not developing properly from something that i'm stopping him doing in his sleep. Any thoughts?? the safe sleeper just gives peace of mind but i guess he has to roll in his cot at some stage?? Just not sure what to do.........

liv - not much you can do except nurofen, teething gel, cold flannels to suck, teething rings etc. Have you got a feeder bag? cold crunchy stuff in them helps too like apple......other than that its just waiting it out im afraid. if its been going on for a while but has suddenly worsened id be inclined to think that either they are about to pop or something else is up like the start of a virus/cold etc. i could never see maxs teeth until they were actually through so they might be very close
jeez im knackered today ned has been up since 2am with no more than a few 10 min sleeps. mylanta obviously not helping enough so brett picking up script today. pead gave up 2 scripts, one for zantac syrup and one for losec - trying zantac first as it works quicker. mum supposed to be here today but shes sick so im having a 'suck it up princess' kinda day
max loved cc, even got up and grabbed his bag this morning ready to go back - i must be so boring in comparison....ate all his lunch and napped on a stretcher with the other kids - very proud of my big boy

Well done max!! What a big boy!! Hope you go ok today LM. And hope you get some sleep in. Poor Ned. I must have missed that he has reflux. Poor little guy. Hope the meds help.
Liv - I'm inclined to agree with LM. I could never see or feel s's teeth until they were through, but guaranteed he went off food until they were through. He liked only having the smoothest of purses when teethed, so even what I made wasn't as good as shop bought. Very frustrating, but he had to eat! Hope c's teeth come out soon. Get some teething gel though. It is a lifesaver.

Afu - we are slowly on the mend from colds! A bad winter for this household, and it hasn't even started yet!!! I've been sick as a dog the last couple of days, and s has been following me. He is slowly on the mend though, thank goodness.
He's woken early. Gotta go

Liv - S will only eat puree's when teeth are bothering him. I find by the time I see the tooth he's over the pain of it. Only other thing I can think of is that he's coming down with something.
LM - Hang in there hun, only a few more hours and Brett will be home to help out. Hope the meds help Ned and you all sleep easier tonight.
Go Max! Glad to hear all went well and he's ready to go back. Ps, I don't think Mummys boring, she's just not a room full of kids.
MG - Glad to hear everyone is on the mend. Short naps must be in the air.
Lisa - We used a safe T sleep for P&J and they rolled, sat up, etc at the times recommended and S had nothing and he took forever to roll, sit up etc. So in my experience it made no difference. All babies are different, he'll get there when he's ready.
CC - Hope that your placenta has moved, not too long now.
Having a nice quiet birthday after a crazy start as I slept in. So P, J & S did too! What a rush to get the kids to school. Sam was perfect at occ care, no crying, too busy playing. He was having a cuddle with one of the carers when I got there to pick him up, all tuckered out. It's really good, most of the kids are 2 & 3yrs, then S and 1 8mth old, I like that. Back next Wed.
MIL is joining us for tea, then I'm out on Fri night with the "girls" for dinner and drinks, can't wait!

Liv - Sorry not much good news from me either - theres not a whole lot you can do just give him panadol/nurofen and teething gel, cold flannels to suck on, cold foods and lots of cuddles. Unfortunately teething is one of those things you just have to ride out We have the teething monster here too, A has cut 2 teeth in a week and I think theres more not far away...
LM - Oh poor Ned, hang in there babe, you are perfectly entitled to a "Suck it up Princess!" day. Maybe should I shorten it to SIUP Day???!!! Hope the swing helps. Great to hear Max loved CC!!! Have to catch up and let Max and A run amok together soon.
Kiwi - HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Hope you've had a fab day. I cant believe how much S has grown, hes gonna be a heart breaker for sure!! Good to hear S did well at OCC care, hopefully that will give you the break you need
Lisa - we never used a safe-t-sleep only rolled up towels so Im not much help. We have to cram a walk in before you go back to work. Whats Sun like for you?
Country - Hope your placenta moves. Wow does that mean you're next on the list? I had a rib kicker too, I swear A was gonna break one if she stayed in there any longer, she loved to tapdance on them... She was crammed up under my ribs until around 35 weeks from memory then I could finally breathe again!
MG - Hope you are feeling better. The colds have been bad here too, not helping with the teething!!! Im so over this winter already!! Hope S is ok too
Maybe - Awesome news your 12 week scan went well
Rach - hows your Dad doing? How far along are you now 30 weeks? Hope you and E are feeling better
Digby - WOW. I simply dont know what to say. You are one tough cookie and it sounds like Z is too. Im so happy for you that Z is doing better fingers crossed you are both home soon. I know I had trouble coming to terms with As birth and that was simply cos it didnt go to plan and ended in a c-section, I went through a lot of emotions including anger and grief, I can only imagine what you are (and will) go through processing it all. It might be worth seeing a counsellor about it? Take care of yourself
Hi to everyone else Ive missed
AFM - A has 2 eye teeth cutting and I think more teeth on the way so the teething monster has well and truly reared its head at my place!! We havent had a good nights sleep in over 2 weeks now, its really starting to take its toll on all of us!! Poor little mite keeps getting sick, as soon as it looks like she is better she comes down again, she didnt sleep at daycare today and tonight looked unwell again. She refused her dinner and was in bed at 7pm (UNHEARD of for her, its usually at least 8pm!!) so I hope shes not coming down sick again. If so its off to the docs for us
Hope everyone is well

Digby - What an ordeal you've been through. It's completely understandable that you might be feeling down. I agree with the others in that a counsellor might be a good idea. Just to try and get over it all. I hope Zahli's doing a lot better today. What a little trouper you've got. Enjoy your cuddles with her. Oh and Happy Birthday!
Kiwi - Happy Birthday! A sleep in sounds great. Thanks for asking about dad. He seems to be coping better with it now that he has more information. He seemed really pre-occupied while waiting for the results. Hopefully the scan tmw will have good results.
Waiting - Thanks also for asking. And yep I'm 30 weeks now. Had an appointment on Tues and everything is going well. They initially thought my placenta was not only covering my cervix but also in two pieces but apparently it looks like it's all in one piece now which is good. They said they'll give me a c-section date when I'm 36 weeks.
Country - It's getting close for you too. I hope bubs moves down a bit for you soon. This baby of mine is sitting really low. Very different to my last pregnancy.
Liv - Sorry I can't help with the teething. We never even knew E was teething apart from a bit of dribble and fingers in her mouth. It sounds like we were really lucky but Sh*t I bet we cope it bad this time around.
Lisa - sorry can't help you either. We didn't use anything in the cot.
LM - A tough day hey! Hope you can catch some sleep tonight. Fantastic that Max loved CC.
MG - good to hear you guys are feeling bettter too. E and I are still coughing away but on the mend I think. I heard the other day that this cold has the '100 day cough'. Hmmm.
Winzy - hope all is going well.
Not much going on here that I haven't already mentioned above actually. Can't believe how 'low' this bub is sitting. It's not head down though. Was lying sideways the other day.
