Lady......don't feel bad about not getting all teary. Your such a good mum & lil C is going to grow up to be such a confident & independent boy. I tell you what I bet the staff wish they had more mums like you. I really believe kids cope better in day care when there parents are happy & confident dropping them off IYKWIM. You have done alot of research from the start on where to send him which would of helped with you feeling comfortable & happy about leaving him there. Well done to both yourself & C xxx
Hey does anyone know or did they drink castor oil to help induce labour? If so would you reccomend it & how much are you meant to have & where do you buy it from & any particular brand??

Digby - I have heard drinking castor oil, while effective, can be dangerous/distressing for the baby, and therefore is not recommended.

Liv - I forgot to say before, Sam & I would love to go for a walk with you & C. It's always nice to have a walking buddy.
Lisa - Don't feel bad you didn't feel bad. You knew you were leaving him in a safe place. I'm not one of those Mum's who cry either. Playcentre (you can leave them at 2), kindy, school, I know they will be fine with out me, so waste my energy being sad. I am thinking about putting S in CC for 1 day a week, as my children, love them to bits, are driving me gaga atm.
I do need to lose weight. I'm well outside my healthy weight range and I'm terrified my Cardio is going to give me a serve! My BP is creeping up too, but I'm quietly blaming the kids for that.
Digby - Stay away from the castor oil. Get some labour inducing accu done, I'm sure that helped with J's arrival, least intervention.
Enjoy your lunch MG, how exciting! Rach, LM are you joining them? How special for you all getting to met.
LM - Slow down lady! You're putting the rest of us to shame. Hope Max was ok when he woke up.
So much for my early bed time.

Kiwi - my due date is aug 12 (although it's on my file as aug 14) and I'm having another c-section which they say they do at 39weeks so I'm guessing it'll be around aug 5-7. And yes, I am going to meet Jen (from Texas) for lunch tomorrow. Can't wait. Can't believe she's come all the way here to meet us all.
LM - definitely a superwoman.
Lisa - don't worry about not crying. Much better for C if you're confident & happy. Fantastic that he went well.
MG - hope poor Spence is feeling ok.
Digby - how annoying. Hope things happen soon for you. I agree...stay away from the castor oil.
Hi everyone. All good here On my phone and it's giving me the sh!ts so making this short.

Sam was awake between 1am - 3am, then up at 6am. I didn't get to bed until 10.30pm, so I'm stuffed and completely over it!!!!!! I'm sure I got more sleep when he was a newborn, I just don't know what to do...........................
J is being a real snot atm, just to make things extra pleasant. Not sure what his problem is, he used to be so kind and helpful, now NO, NO, NO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I DON"T WANT TO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! DON"T TELL ME WHAT TO DO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! WTF! This tired Mummy is ready to quit.
Thank god P is being wonderful atm.
I'm breaking down my days, helps me realise the whole day isn't rough, just parts of it. S is probably disturbing J's sleep. tonight's sleep goes more smoothly.

Kiwi.....oh sweetheart I really feel your pain. It's sooooo hard when you don't get proper sleep & when it's constant how are you supposed to function properly?? Not to mention big kids with attitude, they go through soooo many phases both good & bad. The bad attitude can be very hard to deal with at times. I'm glad P is being good for you though & I hope J snaps out of it soon. E has been very good lately but believe me she can be a miss with LOTS of attitude at times. I hear what your saying about maybe S waking up his older brother during the night. I'm dreading the same thing happening once bubs goes into her cot as the kids bedrooms are right next to each other. By that stage I'll pretty much have a teen on my hands & a baby so hopefully not a grumpy teen. She's a pretty good sleeper now as when she was a baby I used to vaccumm her room whilst she slept to "train her" to get used to sleeping through noise. It's worked really well, even now she's a deep sleeper but when the hormones start to kick in soon may bs a different story??
Just watching Oprah's Chrissy show on tv. OMFG!!! Can't believe the gifts she's given away to everyone in the audience!! Even a car p/person. 2012 beetle!! Lucky audience!!

Kiwigem: I hope that s is feeling better now I'm sorry to hear your sleep has not been the best and everything's drivin u nuts I hope u have a good nights rest soon x
Wh: he smorgasbord sounds divine can't wait to be able to eat anything again!
Digby: your pains sound ouchy any more twinges? Also hate to hear that u r not happy with your care it would be pretty annoying getting mixed messages all the time. I heard that bh can b worse in second pregnancies... Hope u feel better soon. Ive been wanting labour to get a hurry on too so nothing goes wrong with bubby in the mean time so scary!
Lady: aww u r a good mummy feeding him all than yummy home cooked goodness sounds like a positive transition to childcare and I'm sure you'll also love the comaraderie of being back at work in your job too bugger the emotions just means u r both well adjusted!
Lm: ouchy sounds painful for u! hope the supply settles down soon have u spoken to the bf helpline or lactation consultant?u sound like the housewife of the year u go girl!
Wh: wow another bubby hey? I'm pretty sure we will try and get straight into trying for bubs number 2 after this one... Good luck with deciding what to do x
Afm: well had another dramatic night I went to bed feeling fine then at about 11 pm started feeling nauseous and having really painful stomach cramps - but in my belly (above my uterus) so i knew it probably wasnt Braxtons I rang nurses direct and they basically told me to go straight to the dr and get it checked immediately so I woke dh and we trotted off to noarlunga hospital emergency the lady there fed me mylanta
and suggested I go to flinders as they were too busy for me and didn't have any obs. Didn't even check my bp for preeclampsia... Then she said flinders was also on divert so the wait there would be huge. I then rang flinders private
Maternity ward where we r going to deliver and they asked me to come in straight away thank goodness so we got there went straight in and they put me in the labour room and took my bp and hooked me up to the monitor to see if bubs and I were okay. After lying with the monitor on for a half hour she said bubs was doing fine and my belly was having Braxtons which I couldn't feel and she basically put the tummy pains and nausea down to something I ate and said to calll if bubs movements stopped or it got worse. So went home and after some sleep the pains went away about lunch time today. It's weird tho cos no actual puking or diarhoea jus pain anf nausea so not sure why my body didn't try to expel whatever it was? Mystery.
Also yesterday I got the news at my ob app that bubs looks like being quite large as it's measuring 38 cm fundal height a 38 weeks and hasn't dropped into the pelvis but is just sitting on top 5/5 ths.
Have an app with the physio in a bit who is going to teach us how to use the tens machine. So there ya go quite an eventful day all round really I just wanna have this baby so I can stop worrying if it's all gonna b ok! Nursery is looking soo cute and colorful now just gotta decide where tk put the wall stickers oops sorry for the long me post people's! Xoxo

Winzy - sounds like a very eventful day. Glad all is ok with bub. Good to know straight to maternity ward if any problems for you. Hope bub comes soon for you!!
Kiwi - hope things are on the improve for you. Hope you have managed to get some rest. Poor you with everything happening. Hope j pulls his head in soon. So much happening in teens lives, so we all understand, but jeez, it would be nice to not have to worry about it and have it affect us. Hope you are ok. Xx
Great to see LM and rach today to meet our Texan friend! Was a lively lunch.
Hope everyone is well. Gagging at the bit - I have my scan tomorrow morning!! Yay

oh kiwi - you poor thing, ongoing sleep deprivation is sh!t, especially with other kids being poo heads too. are ou looking at keithcot cc - probably, one drop off - what day are you looking at - i changed max to tues and thurs as we do kindergym on mondays and i want to keep that up, sammy and max could go on the same day (and we could head to the pub or something)
lisa - yes, i have been thinking about work alot lately - i knoe the twins are only small but i have now not worked for over 2 years and im feeling a little lascking in the stimulation dept. bonus with nursing is its shift work, so i could just pick up one shift a week on the weekend, leave dh with the kids etc - will have to see, wont be till they sre 4-5months at keast and will have to see what work i can get first as i havent done my grad year yet
as mg said, met up with jen today from texas who we know from the overjoyed thread - was thinking on the way home that even though ivf was a b1tch of a ride, im not sorry it happened as i have met so many wonderful friends who i know i will bw friends with for a long time if not forever, as well as getting my babies. She was so lovely, as were her hubby and little girl, its too bad she lives so far away -
rach and mg - beautiful girls with your big tummies - uoh, think im getting clucky already...............
