Default Primary CMV infection in first trimester! HELP pleaseB

Hi ladies! I am in two minds as to whether I should post anything or not. I have been lurking for weeks on bh reading all sorts of threads but I have been too scared to write and tell anyone what is going on. I don't know why. I guess I have just been waiting for everything to be ok before posting but its just not ok and don't know what to do.

I am 9 weeks pregnant with my 3rd bub. Last year in sep I had a miscarriage at 9 weeks - bub was a tri 16.I landed up with serious PTSD after the misscarriage and was put onto anitdepressants.
This pregnancy I was determined to be positive and enjoy every minute of it.one week after getting my bfp and one day after joining my due date thread I started bleeding. I bled on and off for a week. During this time I did not see my dr as I knew there was nothing he could so I just stayed home and prayed and prayed. The bleeding stopped and the ms set in big time. I was happy about that at least as I felt bub was fine if ms was bad. 2 weeks later I was admitted to hospital with severe hyperemersis and was on steroids and a drip for 6 days.I am doing well now. I am home, eating, drinking and keeping food down. Last time we checked bubs was good with a nice strong thump thump.

So here is the problem - while in hospital my ob ran some bloods and it turns out I had a primary cmv infection the week before I found out I was pg - so week 3 -4! I have been referred to a perinatal specialist for my 12 week scan to check bubs development. My dr is advising me to consider doing an amnio to see if bub has congenital cmv. I can't believe that I am going through this. The waiting game, the possibilty of having a sick or dying baby game, the worrying game! I feel sick to my stomach. I am trying to be strong and remain positive but I feel alone. I have searched the web for similar stories and I can't seem to find any. Is there anyone out there who has been here and has a beautiful bub who made it through ok? Is there any hope? Am I crazy to hope? I wish I could be excited and enjoy this pregnancy but how?

I am sorry for the long ramble.... Thank you to those who read this
