Default Ring or Amp or both!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

found this realy really nice ring for Emilys 16th Birthday its white gold with diamonds and I can get it for $175 its so beautiful, I know she will look after it and all but she wants an amp for her present. Im so confused in what to get her cause ive been waiting for her 16th (for 16 years lol) to beable to get jewelry for her *confused*. The other thing I could do is give her my ring that I got for my 16th and that way I can still get the amp aswell BUT this ring I have fallin in love with LOL. I only want to spend approx $200 on her present as she is getting a sweet 16th party aswell, and who knows a much thats gonna cost

I'd go with the amp and give her your ring. It'd be something she wants and something sentimental.

Can you buy the ring and save it for her 18th maybe? To us adults, the ring is a beautiful idea. To a 16yr old...its not the amp she asked for lol

I would get her the amp and give her your ring. I would find that quite sentimental, you got the ring for your 16th, and your passing it on to her. It could start a new tradition in your family and she could pass it on to her daughter or daughter-in-law.

I found another ring today its even better then the other one, 1/2 prize I got it for and Im left with enough money to get the amp. I really liked the idea off giving my ring to her but that left nothing for me to give DD2 turns 16 so it wouldnt be fair I would feel bad not be able to do the same thing for DD2. So bought it is for both of them
