Zammy26- That is so terrible. I can't believe you keep getting cancelled on, so not acceptable I really feel for you. I have been ttc for coming up 10 months now and it feels like forever, so I can't imagine how distressing four years would be. I truly hope you get your BFP soon.
AFM- CD 6 today, been doing my injections for 4 days now. It was all going fine but today it was weird- the needle really hurt and it didn't click down to zero properly and then I had quite a bit of bleeding when i pulled it out. I now have a 50c piece sized bruise on the injection site. I'm now scared to inject tomorrow... I don't know what I did wrong Im wondering if maybe the needle wasnt screwed on properly and it bent or something. I have bloods tomorrow to see if the fsh is working, so I might ask them about it.
Hope everyone else is going okay.

1xbabyplease, I had the same thing with puregon injections when u was doing them a few weeks back. I heard that you can sometimes be unlucky and get a capillary. I gave myself a nasty bruise and it hurt! I injected for 14 days all up and they hurt more as I went on. Your tummy gets tender, just be sure to move the needle around and avoid that icky spot that you got on the last one! Good luck!
To the other lovely ladies on here, I hope you're going ok. In still stalking you and hoping for some fabulous cycles! I miss this little thread, it provided me with such comfort during my cycles. I'm currently flipping out whilst waiting for my dating scan next week. Sooo scared that there won't be a heartbeat. It's crazy, just so hard to believe that it could all actually work out.
Have a fabulous week everyone!

Thanks Voilethope. I just got back from seeing the nurse and she said exactly what you said. I hit a capillary, and its just pot luck if it will happen again. I will definately be avoiding that spot! I'm not looking forward to the increased pain as the cycle goes on. My FS reckons I will be injecting up to about CD 27- cause im using a 'long and slow' method. That's a lot of nasty injections! I hope your dating scan goes well. I am hoping for a strong heartbeat for you. I would imagine its so scary to be faced with losing a baby, especially when it has taken so much time and energy to get pregnant. That's the crap thing about infertility, even when you achieve the goal we all want of being pregnant, the anxiety provoking journey doesn't stop. I really hope it does all work out for you. We need some inspiring success stories
Good luck Teetee- I hope 50mg is the dose for you .
AFM- find out this afternoon if these injections have started to do anything.

AFM: First round of Clomid this month...cd1-5.... anyone else's FS ask them to start that early?
Have not enjoyed the side effects I've gotten (I will never make fun of my menopausal mother for the fan she carries around everywhere for hot flushes ever again!!) but generally okay... Cd19 now, BT's on friday.... We'll see...!
Anywho, a late night for you all! xx

1xbabyplease - I can empathise with you. My stomach was literally bruised all around the area from the daily injections when I went through that recently and hurt more when DH would hit the same spot every other night. But thankfully all healed.
AFM - had a follow up BT last Monday and very happy with results. All hormones heading in the right direction and am currently 40 days pregnant (and counting ever fantastic day). Found out my due date is April 29th 2012 - that made it a little real. Still very much surreal and in disbelief that it worked first time round on the injectables - hopefully this gives hope to those still going through it as you all gave hope and inspiration to me as I went through it.
I got for the first ultrasound on the 7th September (next Wednesday) and will get to see my little sesame seed. So far only side effects are ridiculously tired even after just waking up and DH is loving the increased breast size so far .
for those going through the process and really hope this is your time.
Lots and lots of to all.

1xbaby - I also read somewhere that you might be more likely to get a bruise if you are standing rather than sitting while injecting.
Angelanathan - not sure if this is relevant to you anymore, but someone in the same position as you (going through Westmead but live in Bris) told me they looked into refridgerated courier for their meds and it was very expensive, so they had the clinic send them down by normal overnight courier for her and the clinic packed it with ice so it was still nice and cool by the time she got it the next day. She is doing EPU on Friday so the meds were obviously fine delivered this way
AFM: I met up yesterday with one of the ladies from the IVF thread who is in Syd at the moment. So nice to talk to someone who knows what this is like! I have been injecting since Friday and still waiting for all the side effects (hello bloating!). When they don't arrive I find myself getting worried rather than feeling lucky, at least they tell me the drugs are doing something!

Bluefiretail - Welcome back, good luck with your first round of clomid - I started day 2 through 6 and am on my second Clomid/IUI cycle now.
Ellymoe - I am in the same boat about not getting side effects, made me think it wasnt working at all but lucky it was and the monitoring helps ease the anxiety about it a little. you have great results!
Mrs JD - big congrate on 40 days and so excited to hear how your scan goes! Thank you for all of your support - your definetly an inspiration for me.
Miggins and Ellymoe - sucks about the bruising - I have been lucky I inject for 6 days this cycle so I do two in a row on the left (one below left of belly button and one above left of belly button) and then 2 days in a row on left and then swap back - Also I do it about 2-3 inches from my belly button! Do you guys do something similar?
Zammy26 - welcome back and I agree with the other advice - you definetly need to change specialists! for you how ever you decide to proceed!
AFM - I am currently on CD 7 which is my first day of puregon and not bothered by it at all - also FS had me on 150mg clomid days 2-6 1 Tablet in the am and 2 in the pm (although I forgot the last morning one but didnt want to double it up). I am off to sydney for the weekend and then back to the specialist on the 05 for a scan so its all good then!
Sorry if I missed anyone and Hope your all going well where ever your at and to all and for more BFP's this month!

Ellymoe – how are you going with the jabbing? Doing it yourself or with DP’s help? I know what you mean by the (unwanted) symptoms of the drugs also being reassuring. I definitely get the bloating and twinges and it can be so uncomfortable and is compounded by constipation (TMI!) as well. These days I seem to spend most of my cycle bloated and uncomfortable not really ideal for getting in the mood for baby making.
Littlejoeyg – I do my daily jabs always below the belly button (as advised by the nurse) and I alternate between left & right sides and slightly different locations each day. This time ‘round both my big ugly bruises are actually on the left side! I chose a couple of unlucky ‘veiny’ spots I guess – so today I got the nurse to give me the pregnyl on the right side to avoid the existing bruises
AFM, had my trigger shot this morning – should be O’ing by late Friday night – yay! FS has given me progesterone pessaries to start from Saturday night to help with implantation (as my LP was a bit short last cycle) – not looking forward to these pessaries, I’ve been told that they are very messy, which may get in the way of DTD whenever we feel like it. Anyone had the pessaries, that can give me any advice??? I’ve never used them before.
