    Default Courier delivery and not home?

    What happens when you arent home and a courier tries to deliver a parcel? Its coming with Toll/Ipec

    With a courier I thought you get the option to pickup from their depot (not the post office) or opt for redelivery another day (there may be a fee for this option).

    It depends on the courier company, some leave it at the local post office and others get you to pick it up from the depot or request redelivery.

    Yep this. Normally they will delivery on another day at no charge (up to a certain amount of times). If you want it delivered to an alternate location they will generally charge.

    You can call the depot and ask for it to be left somewhere at your residence otherwise you will be carded for redelivery or you can call and opt to pick up from the depot.

    It'll generally be kept in local P.O. and they charge a nominal revenue...

    I had this happen last week. The courier left a calling card so I called to arrange another day (no charge). I was also asked to fill in the back of the calling card, authorising them to leave it at the front door if I wasn't home when they got there. I left that card in the door so they could just take it and leave the package.
