    Hi Ladies,

I write this from my hospital bed. Baby is not here yet but I have what they think is a Crohns flair up. So me and bub are both being monitored. Hopefully they can keep her put for another 6 weeks. I am worried though, I am on fluids only and she was already a small baby.

Hope that the rest of you are doing well.

    Hello Ladies,

    Hope everyone is progressing nicely....

neecoleg - hope you are still doing ok, fluids only is a bit rough! I'd whingeing for some food! fx your little girl hangs in there for a little longer.

AFM - We had our first 4 D scan yesterday, I can't seem to post a pic on here for some reason....anyway, its definitely a girl and she has HUGS lips and a squished up little nose....very cute, can't wait to meet her!

We have another 2D scan next Tuesday, Obs just wants to check that she is still growing nicely and everything is where it should be.

Almost have everything ready for arrival, picked up a bassinet from a friend on the weekend, and the only other thing we need is a portacot.

I have had the flu for over two weeks now, and the snot and phlegm is starting to go green (sorry TMI?)! I see the my midwife on Monday, so will bring it up with her then. Haven't been feeling feverish for over a week though, just congested...fx it clears up soon!

    Sarah x

Thank you for the support ladies. Hollie Simone was born 26-9-11 2.590kg (5.7lb) 4 weeks and 2 day prem. My body was just not coping in the end. It was decided that it was better for mum and baby that she be deliverer.

We have both had a few days of recovery, she is going great for how early she entered the world.

I still have a little way to come. I am at least of bed and go hold and feed her. But my gastric specialist has told me that things are not great and as soon as I am out of hospital I have to see her and see what our next step is.

WOOHOO!! Congratulations Neecoleg on the arrival of your little Hollie - gorgeous name...hope you guys are doing well. I just popped online to see if anyone had updated and saw you name come up and thought you must still be lying around in hospital....but nooo! Youve been busy with a new little one.....yay!! Love to hear your birth story when your ready to tell.

AFM - I had a scan at 31 wks 4 days a couple of days ago, just to measure that she is progressing ok....well, the sonographer said "whoa...we've got a bit of a boofhead in there (haha this runs in my family!!), and she is not going to be a small baby"....she is measuring at 2.2kg already (4 pd 9 oz) and I still have 8 weeks to go!

So I freaked out (googled, of course), found a calculator that tells you the estimated birth size....turns out she is in the 90% percentile for weight and will probably reach at least 9 pound at this rate.....sh!!!tttt! Hope it is wrong! i might definitely be going for an epidural after all!

I still have another 2 weeks of work left, and will extend that week by week if I'm still felling ok, but I do feel like a bit of a whale at the moment!

Hope everyone else is not doing anything as dramatic as neecoleg just yet!

Congratulations Neecoleg, it sounds like it was certainly the best thing for little Hollie and her Mum for her to come early into this world. I hope you are both recovering quickly.

Hi Sarah, how cute having a little chubber wubber. Sounds like she's thriving well.

AFM - Wednesday is my big day, only 3 more sleeps. I still have OMFG moments, by this time next week I will be hopefully going home from the hospital with 2 beautiful babies. Scared and excited at the same time.

I hope everyone else is going fantastically.

    Mwah x

    Morning girls!!!,

congrats Neecoleg and your little Hollie - sounds like it was a good time to get the baby out!!! you get better soon.

Sarahandchaz - how is your cold holding up? hoping your feeling better. My DS was 4 wks ahead at birth and was over the 90% of birth weight and length and he was 8pd and 9oz. But he still fitted in 0000.

Ladymoz - wow only a few more days and you will be holding your little ones!!! Wow so close!!!!

Butterfli - Did you get the pram you were watcing?

AFM - got my GD results back - all good, my Ob actually said I had perfect glucose. So we thought if I had GD that would explain why the baby was so big. So im 29 weeks and baby is measuring at 35 wks - so 7 weeks ahead still but good news is the baby hasnt speed up anymore since last time. I was aiming on leaving work about 36/37 wks....... having difficulty now so Im looking at 34/35 wks now. How did a lot of you girls go near the end? I feel kind of lazy leaving 6 wks before my due date but I dont want to risk baby and I am struggling now so dont know how I would make another 8 wks at work.

    Hello Ladies,

second baby - I'm stopping at 34 weeks....in two weeks time (yay!!), I think I'll be well and truly ready to finish up then anyway. Policy at my work is to start Maternity Leave at 34 weeks, I have to get a Dr certificate if I want to work any longer.

Hope everyone else is going ok....looks like there will be a couple of announcements coming up pretty soon!

AFM - Im feeling ok, my flu has all but gone, still cough a little at night if it's cold. Im feeling a bit whaleish of late, I have trouble getting out of bed and bending over, I get hubby to push me out when I need to go for a wee in the middle of the night! Caught up with some girlfriends on the weekend and heard plenty more horror birth stories! I see my obs on fri, so will be interesting to see what he thinks about my little poomba being so big already. My sisters last was 10 pd 8 oz (she had him naturally)...i hope she doesnt get that big! My best mate is trying to organise my baby shower this weekend, so will be good to catch up with all the girls again.
