I have bought items from the UK on ebay before. Though never such a large item. I always got them sent quite quickly. I would receive the items in about 2 weeks tops.
The problem with finding big objects in other countries for cheap, its always going to be just as expensive when you buy them here in Oz because of the postage costs.
I was looking at buying a laptop from the US, but it was over $1000,- so I would end up paying GST to customs on top of it. It wasn't worth it. I didn't save much at all compared to what the Ozzie price for the same laptop was.

I am sorry I cant be much help, but just thought I'd give you my opinion about buying in other countries not always being the cheapest way to get things....

Goodluck, it looks like an awesome pram. I hope you can get it

Do your sums and convert GBP to AUD using the current exchange rate, then add on the postage and if it's cheaper than a pram you would buy here then go for it. If possible ask the sender to insure the goods, if you pay by visa then it should be insured, but don't quote me on that, check first with your credit card company.

    Good luck
