As embarrassed as I feel for letting myself go. I might as well join this thread. I'm 5ft9 and 135kgs now, due to liver complications and a bad pregnancy resulting in not being able to excersize at all for over a year.
My goal is 80kgs (Im large framed, any less and I would look sick). But thats still 55kgs.
I need help. I get bugger all support really and I just cant control myself =( I think my issues are food intake, lack of water and lack of movement (went from 6-8km walks a day to nothing) so now I'm lazy =\
Does anyone recommend anything vitamins or so to help boost metabolism?

Hello and welcome!
It's not really a club many of us want to be part of and after getting down to double figures I'm back in here. It's a bit of a double edged sword, health complaints stop us from exercising which in turn makes us put on weight which makes all the medical stuff worse. I have not left the house today :-(
I used to swim competitively as a child and when I stopped the weight just piled on. I have a bit of an all or nothing attitude exercise like mad or do none at all.
I'm sitting here craving something sweet although I know I shouldn't but I suppose that's what happens when all I've eared was breakfast at 3 pm. Oops
I hope things are not as quiet in here as they have been. Feel free to pm me if you want to "talk"

Just come on for a mini vent. Have eaten well this week. 5kms walks 5 out of 7 days at power walk pace so I was sweating like a grot *yuck*.
And I still weigh the same, infact I weigh a bit more.
I was hoping to see a .500g - 1kg loss.
Something tells me the severe lack of water may be culprit.

Congratulations on eating so well and kerning the excercise up. Please don't be disheartened. Your weight can vary for a number of reasons one of which is where you are in your monthly cycle. If you have a full bladder there's 400 or 500g right there!
Persevere with your healthy eating and exercise and if you still army losing then re-evaluate things but until then remain positive.

Well after eating great and excersizing daily for weeks and weeks I wasn't seeing any weight shift and I can't fathom why. So here I am still the same old weight and actually quite depressed. I challenged myself to no soft drink and today was my first day. Scarily enough I found by 2pm I hadn't drunk anything. No soft drink and no water. I know that is so bad. I need to get the water intake up a few levels and stat drinking what I need to drink.
I feel like no matter what I do and no matter how hard I apply myself I just can't do it. Either I somehow don't want to lose weight or I'm just lazy, I can't work out why I just can't do it. Or I am just so shy and such a low self esteem it is easier to just give up and fade away in the back ground.
I can do it... I know I can. I just need to pick up my act.

Just forget about soft drinks, you have to drink min. 3 l per day water, eat small portions, and no carbs. And be positive!
