Default I know a girl who is severely depressed....

She has a useless hubby and 4 kids. Without getting into to much detail she is so bad, so down in the dumps. It's been a really bad year for her. I want to buy her something for Chrissy to cheer her up. What do you buy? What would she like? I've never bought her anything before will she get offended?

That's a lovely idea I don't think she'd be offended at all. Do you have a price range in mind? Do you know what sort of stuff she is into...jewelery? chocolates? perfume?

I don't really know what she likes as we are only acquaintances but I do know she would prob like anything as her and her family are quite poor. I don't mind around the 50 mark whatever it takes to see her smile. She seems so nice

Buy her a voucher for a salon (she can then decide on a pedi, mani, waxing, tinting or massage) and offer to mind the kids for her so that she can go. Bug her about it until she makes the appt Help her to organise herself some pampering.
