On my phone so this will be a short one...
Crofty- sorry to hear you've had such a rough trot. When it rains, it pours. Hoping for a better week for you!
PinkB- Happy b'day!! Hope you have a lovely day and get spoilt. Good luck with the jabbing too!
Nat- congrats on your engagement!! How fantastic! Planning a wedding will definitely take your mind of IVF. Hope things are getting easier with each passing day.
Starf1sh- Hope you had a wonderful b'day! Ditto what PinkB said, hope you aren't in a quake or tsunami affected zone. Stay safe.
Hope everyone had a good weekend. Weather was perfect for a change! DH's best friend and his wife had bub #2 (a boy) and we went for a visit. Their DD is 3, so they have the pigeon pair lucky buggers! We had a nice time and I got through it without getting teary, yay!

Nat: Congratulations babe that’s fantastic news . Hope your doing OK after everything you have been through lately. Were you able to speak to your FS about it and get some more answers or a better plan for next cycle?
Starfish: Hope you had an amazing birthday and like the other girls said, hope you are no where near the devastation over there – stay safe lovely and can’t wait to hear all about your trip when your back .
Lindylou: Glad to hear the newborn visit went OK, those experiences can go from bad to worse very quickly for us IVF’ers. Definitely upload some pics of your art work, I would love to see them. How is Bootcamp going - getting used to the new trainer and program now? .
Pinkbutterfly: Happy Birthday lovely . Hope you’re having a fabulous day, How are you going with your injections? Yep my FS was going for quality over quantity this time, although from what I have seen so far the quality really hasn’t improved at all, even though we have been so much healthier etc than our first stim cycle back in August.
Crofty: Hope your going OK darl , have you got a list of questions you want to raise with your FS for your appointment? I seem to keep a running list of random questions from things I pick up on here in the forums that I need to discuss with my FS each time I have an appointment with him, I think he is starting to think I have a medical degree that I haven’t told him about. My DH takes the negative cycles really badly as well as our reason for doing IVF is due to sever MFI. I have to put in so much time with him after each cycle to make sure he is OK.
MrsDaisyP: Awesome news the Metformin is working darl , I love knowing we take all these drugs for a reason. All the best for your FS appointment tomorrow, hope she had lots of good news for you.
AFM: Thank you all so much for your kind messages after my little meltdown following EPU last week. We have been told that 5 out of the 9 fertilized (1 was immature) and at yesterday they were, 9 cell, 8 cell, 2 X 6 cell and a 5 cell. So not too bad considering thy need to be above 6 y day 3. FS thinks we will have 1 good blasty for transfer tomorrow and hopefully 1 to freeze. My ET tomorrow is 8.30am so nice and early, then its back into the dreaded TWW again. I am doing acupuncture pre and post transfer as it helps me relax so much. I had my first ever pregnyl injection on Saturday and it hurt, it was a pain mixing all of that stuff together, its good not having to worry about pessaried or Crinone each day and the ycukyness that comes with those things.

EO- Glad to hear your embies are faring well so far! I can't believe this will be your 3rd TWW this year, but its so exciting you will be PUPO again tomorrow . I'd much rather pregnyl as LP support than daily pessaries (I used it for my triggers), plus it would stop me caving in to the HPT's .
Boot camp is going great! Its weigh-in night and I'm curious to see if I've lost anything. My main goal is getting fit as I'm already in the healthy weight range, but like most girls, there's always a couple of kilos that I wouldn't mind saying goodbye to
Hope your embies continue dividing perfectly and ET goes well tomorrow

Thanks everyone for your thoughts. Just a quick one from me will catch up on everyone's news when I am back. In Tokyo waiting for flight home. We were in Hokkaido so safe & sound although we did feel the quake on Fri. We had no idea of the degree of devastation till we saw the news, so sad for the beautiful people of Japan who have been incredibly warm & hospitable in the face of such adversity.
Thanks PinkB for remembering me you are a doll! And once again HAPPY BIRTHDAY to you for today!!
Much love to all,

Starfish - So relieved you are OK! Safe travels!
Eternal optimist - Sending and hope transfer goes well and that you have a beautiful embryo to transfer.
Re; your pregnyl question - i found it gave me better prog. support than pessaries so have asked to go back on it this cycle - not to mention more time in my life... the 30mins lying down twice a day was nice but a challenge to fit in! The downside is it really makes you feel pregnant - messes with the mind! but the TWW does that anyway! good luck!
Thanks for all your birthday wishes - much appreciated - DH cooked me a lovely pad thai for dinner, took me out for dinner on sat night and DD helped DH cook me a lovely choccie cake too - very spoilt .....and nice to have some chocolate - its been ages!
Hi to all

Thanks for all those asking after me, I don’t know what I would do without you girls.
Sorry but this is a me post, this is possibly the worst I have ever felt since starting our IVF journey. Yesterday I had my ET and it was a horrible day, we did manage to transfer a good Blasty but the other 4 had stopped growing on day 4 and therefore none to freeze. I was devastated and cried from the minute I heard the news til I went to sleep last night. My FS was so lovely we had a big chat and he said that we still have a good shot this month but our next cycle we are gonna change lots of things, like changing me over to a long cycle. Basically the sperm with are getting from DH via the biopsy is pretty crap, literally we are only getting around 100 individual sperm, that’s right not 100,000 or 10 million! We have some frozen from the first biopsy last year but FS has said we will never be able to use DH frozen sperm as it won’t thaw properly and will need to do a fresh biopsy each time.
I am so surprised how bad this cycle is as we had been so good for the four months prior to this biopsy, FS said DH is gonna have to go on a super strict diet and take a very detailed list of specific vitamins etc and we won’t be able to do another cycle for three months. He is also going to get a specialist urologist in to assist with the biopsy next time. I am assuming this will cost a fortune, DH procedures aren’t covered by our private health so we are gonna finally have to tell his parents we are doing IVF and ask them for the money for the next cycle. I know it only takes one, but I can’t help but think if the other four embryos were crap what makes this one so different? Sorry for the rant ladies, I just don’t have anyone else to talk to about this as no one knows we are doing IVF.
So BT for this cycle is Saturday 26th, the clinic said i can come in on the Friday but when ever i get bad news form a cycle i go home and can't really afford more time off work so will wait the extra day.

Starf1sh- so glad to hear from you and very relieved you're safe. I was wondering whereabouts you went for skiing, and hoped it was somewhere like Sapporo or Nagano where you'd be out of harm's way. Hope you've gotten home safely now.
PinkB- dinner and cake sounds yummy! Glad you had a nice b'day. When do you have your first BT and US?
EO- so sorry your other embies didn't make it to the freezer. I'd be devastated too. Very glad that your FS is considering other options for future cycles. I didn't realise that just because the sperm couldn't get out, that they dwindled in numbers. I answered your other thread, hopefully you can get DH's count up for the next biopsy. Mind you, the next biopsy could well be for bub #2. I have my fingers crossed so tight that your blastie on board is a winner . Try to enjoy being PUPO and think positive sticky thoughts!

Hi Sydney Gals
I have been MIA for a while - work has just been hectic and I have had so much else going on I hardly get time for BH!!
Nat -Congratulations on your engagement What fantastic news!!!
Starfish - Very glad to hear you are safe and sound amongst all the devastation. I lost a cousin in the Christchurch earthquake and I found that whole situation bad enough but the severity of Japan in just incomprehensible!!!
EO- Sorry to hear no embies made the freezer!!! Like this whole thing isn't hard enough without that kind of news!!! I will keep my your little one sticks!!
A big hello to all the other girls I've missed
AFM.... I started my FET cycle last Monday and had my first BT today. Everything is well and will have 1 blastie transferred next Wednesday (was quite glad for this as Tuesday is my birthday and I decided lying on a bed with my legs in the air was not a nice way to celebrate )
Hope you are all well

Nat: Any wedding plans started yet darl? Hope your feeling better
Lindylou: I agree about Pregnyl, I like that I don’t have to worry about inserting them twice a day or laying down for 30 mins afterwards, not to mention the mess both of those make of my knickers. So how did weigh in night go? I am a big fan of the gym as well, although I am right on the lower side onf my correct BMI – 17.5 and I certainly don’t want to loose any weight (FS wants me to put on 4kgs) but more to keep fit and keep up on the toning. Thanks for your advise in the other thread, I have written it all down and we have decided that I get my BT results on Sat 26th so come the following Monday (after our bender weekend) that we will get straight into it all and then we will do it for three months before our next cycle in July. Yeah the numbers are extremely low, although FS mentioned if we do the full Biopsy with DH under GA they should get a lot more – in the thousands, and hoping it’s a lot better quality after the three months prep.
Quartz; Thanks hon, yeah I kind of wished they gave me that news after the transfer, or even the next day as it really threw me. Ha ha love that you lay in bed with your legs up, I take the week off and work from home after m transfers and just chill, lots of couch time. It must feel so good to be doing another cycle again, you must be super excited.
Starfish: Hope your home safely now lovely, I bet you must be relived. Its such a terrible thing to of happened, and the nuclear stuff is just making it so much worse for the poor people.
Pinkbutterfly: Thanks darl, yep I am a fan of the pregnyl as well now, I know what you mean about the mind thing, it made me fell very pregnant before I even had the transfer. Glad to hear you had a great birthday, yum chocolate cake, def one of my favorites. I haven’t had choccie in ages, and I miss it so much. I don’t buy any at all cause I will cave in, although last night Dh had some cravings and the only thing he could find was chocolate chips that I use for cooking choc chip biscuits, so he managed to eat half the packet, don’t think they would have been the best – although they were Cadbury.
Hi to all the other Sydney girls, its pretty quiet in here, I thought the Sydney thread would end up being a lot busier. Although I do like its small, makes it more personal and easier to keep track of us.
AFM: Thanks for all your kind words ladies. I had my second pregnyl injection yesterday and felt really crappy last night, had lots of cramps and this morning woke up a little nauseous, didn’t realize how much it knocks you around. This is the first time I have ever used it. Does anyone know if AF will show up at the right time If I have used Pregynl or dose it delay it slightly? When I have been on pessaries or crinone it has always delayed it, and I don’t get AF until 3 days after stopping them. I had a call today from the embryologist reassuring me how good my blasty looked that they transferred which was good, but I guess well see in 9 days time.
