Default was i out of line?

we were at a play centre today and there happened to be some school kids there. coop was going down the massive jumping castle sort of slide and once he got down, he got up to move then some kid fully kicked him in the back. this kid was one of the school kids.

coop burst out into tears and the boy started to walk away. i went over there before he could walk away and made him turn around and apologise to coop as there was no reason for some 7 or 8year old to kick a 3yr old who hadnt done anything wrong.

the teachers werent really watching what was happening as not long after the school kids got out of control there and started to push the little kids about so they could get up there first and slide down.

    Nope I don't think so.
Teachers should have been watching and I would have had a chat to them also but no I'd say u weren't doing anything wrong.

If a bigger kid kicked my son in the back, I probably would of done the same thing. (and probably go off my rocker)

Nope, I would have made him apologise too....

I would have been upset that they were allowed to behave like that and would have talked to someone from the centre.

(I do this a bit, at our play centre, the littlies area is for u 3's... DD is one... there are often over 3's in there, no parents in sight, etc, etc, I often get management to talk to parents and ask them to leave as they push the littler ones, etc... drives me bonkers)

I don't think you're out of line at all. I don't think I'd have the courage to do it myself, but I wish I did!

I would have done the same, but loudly. I'd also complain to the school teachers and maybe even the school.
