Mum4nay - you seem really young to be having these problems but I am also a believer of listening to your FS and taking on board what he says. I know I am older than you but the upcoming attempt for me will be my final time with my own eggs (still unsure about donor eggs myself). My FS says I can keep trying but really does not offer any hope if this cycle does not work and pretty much suggests we would be throwing good money after bad. I don't have another child so I would not have that comfort, however, it is not worth the repeated emotional rollercoaster ride if the chances are so minimal that winning tattslotto is more likely. We all have to accept the lot we have been given ultimately and find a way to move on if donor eggs are not an option for us. I hope you are able to process all the information you have been provided and make an informed decision that you are comfortable with for the long term.

Wannabub - Hope you are ok and made it to Brisbane and didnt get stuck in all the floods. When is your next appointment and when are they going to remove the polyp

Sunny - How are you when do you think you will be cycling?

Mum4Nay - sorry to read your post I dont know much about DHEA as I have never used it only what I have read on this thread. As for the stiching of the cervix I dont have a choice he basically said if I dont I would have a 2nd trimester misscarriage so better to be stiched. I so hope a way forward can be worked out for you XOX

Jen42 - Yay for the new puppy I love furbabies - unconditional love all round

Otgirl - when is your cycle starting

Micca - Im hoping your ok and not affected by any of the flooding in QLD hope to hear you are ok soon

Trying - how are you would love to hear how you are.

To anyone I have missed my appologies

Well not much to tell just waiting for Mondays operation scared sh**less my mum is arriving on Monday to help out as I have to stay in bed for the week after the operation only toilet privileges. Praying this works and all is ok, if the stich fails I can be put on bed rest for the rest of the pregnancy

    Hi Ladies,

Well, I am back from frozen Ireland only to hear of and see the devastating floods here in brisbane. I was worried that we wouldn't get home but it was all ok. I hope all of you in Brisbane are ok.

Lily40 - All the very best for Monday. My sister in law had the stitch done for all three of her pregnancies and all went well. She had one baby premi but he was fine. There were no complications with the procedure at any time but she also rested through much of each pregnancy anyway. I will be thinking of you. So glad to read that your little boy is doing well.

I have not yet had a chance to see where everyone else is up to but have briefly skimmed the last few pages and know there have been impacts on EPU's since flooding. Big hugs to all the girls who now have to wait another cycle. Do they still charge you for the drugs if EPU doesn't go ahead? Doesn't seem fair if they do.

A big to everyone and look forward to catching up with all the posts in the coming days after the jetlag subsides a bit.

AFM - I was planning an FET for this month but the good old AF decided to take her time coming and was over two weeks late. So, it looks like Feb for me instead. I wonder if being on the prognova all the time can hold AF up? Have any of you experienced this? I was put on it to hopefully improve the lining for the next FET. I can't do it now because I am with QFG and FS is away till 17th Jan. Never mind. I believe these things happen for a reason and mine might be to detox from the several parties and gatherings in Ireland due to being housebound from too much snow. Had a great holiday and while it was hard seeing everyone and going through the condolences again with well meaning relatives, it was ok.

Pretty quiet in here over the weekend. Hope everyone is well!!!

Lilly40 - good luck tomorrow. I can only imagine how scary this all is but I reckon if they think it's the best thing to do then they'll make sure your little boy stays safe.

AFM - my heart goes out to everyone in Brisbane effected by the floods. There has been an overwhelming surge of support by volunteers to try and get people back into their homes. I did my little bit yesterday and helped out at the cerebral palsy league getting their clients set up back at home after being evacuated when the power went out. It's going to be a long haul to get our fine city back on it's feet. IVF-wise not much to report. Having a rest this month and it's so nice not to have to take anything, jab anything, insert anything, go anywhere for BT's or be told that my eggs are crap Feels like normal life. If our natural miracle doesnt happen (and believe me we're trying ) then it will be FET in February.

billiesmum- welcome back to the land of oz. can you take the OCP for a week and then stop it to bring on af again. when is next appt with FS?

tryingreallyhard- hope you wont need the FET in Feb

mum4nay- hope you are going ok and digesting all you options. Whatever decision you make will be informed and the best for you and DH. Are you continuing on Dhea for now whilst you decide?

Yep, I'm still on the DHEA - I love it! My plan is to wait it out for 4-6 months and depending on my cycles I'll retest AMH and decide whether to go again for another try? Problem is that I'm now day 50 in this cycle Usually I do 24ish day cycles and this is the effect of the DHEA? I really don't know what the hell is happening to me??????????????????????????????????????????

    Yep, I'm frustrated

How's Lilly40 going?? Hope you and bub are well and safe

Sorry ladies - a bit of a 'me' post coming...

I’m so cross with Melbourne IVF and my former fertility specialist and need to vent somewhere to try and stop myself writing a very nasty letter!!!!!!!!!!

Talking to my FS yesterday (gearing up for my next cycle) and he confirmed the measurements he'd taken in November of cervix, uterus, etc; and told me that given MIVF had done no investigation, measuring, etc that none of the 5 transfers I had with MIVF could possibly have worked.

He basically said that using the ‘standard’ catheter & assumptions (around 6.5cm) rather than my 10.5cm; they would have been placing the embryos in my cervix where they had no chance of implanting whatsoever. He said we might as well have washed them down the sink!

I am so ****ed off; this pretty much means we’ve lost about 10k - and possibly wasted embryos that could otherwise have made it - due to MIVFs lack of investigation, etc.

Hope everyone else is having a better day?

Jonathonsmum - the only good thing is that at least your new FS has got this information so hopefully the next one will be the one for you. I can't imagine how annoyed you must be - we all need to be told we have been throwing money and time away - not!!!

Mum4nay - I don't have any cycling changes with DHEA and no real side effects really so I have been very lucky

Wannabb - I hope all is well for you - are you cycling in Feb?

Billiesmum - welcome back. Good luck with your next FET.

Lilly40 - I hope all went well on Monday.

TRH - good luck with the "natural" approach. Hopefully either that or FET in Feb will work for you.

Hi to everyone else. I hope all is going well, especially anyone in any of the flood affected regions.

AFM - I saw the FS this week. I think I will look like a pin cushion and rattle like a money tin during my next cycle. I am not sure if there is anything he doesn't want to try and we have also discovered I have Factor V Leiden Mutation (which he is very surprised I didn't know about) which means I have to take the asprin and clexane (I think that's the spelling) this cycle as well as HGH, Luveris, high dose puregon, orgalutran, colarado protocol and something to stop the "natural killer cells". If this cycle isn't successful, it certainly won't be from lack of intervention!!!!

Whoa, OTgirl! This might be your answer to your fertility difficulties - I've known other people that have your factor V problem and get UTD with clexane alone and don't need the whole host of other things you're describing... This is your turn my girl!!

Johathonsmum - crikey, I'd be more than p1ssed with that and I would but pen to paper! If it really is true then you really should be compensated (but would they ever admit to it??????).

    Default Reply to Jonathonsmum

Jonathonsmum - i think you should write a complaint letter. I am with Melbourne IVF and have also experienced the complete lack of investigation. It is so frustrating - especially when we don't have time to waste. The good news is ... MIVF have stuffed up - not your body.. so your chances may be really good now that you have changed clinics. I am about to change over to Monash IVF. I am very excited!!! My appointment is the 31st of Jan, but my day one will occur prior to my appointment?? I dont know if I should do another cycle with Melbourne or wait it out another month. Hope you are feeling better today :-).

otgirl - Good luck!! It sounds very promising.

TRH - My partner and I also did the ole natural approach this month. I am not holding my breathe, but you never know (right). Good luck..

(Side note) Oh i wish I could figure out how to pop in the me facts at the bottom of each entry??

    Me - 41 DP-42
    3 IUI
    3 IVF - no joy
