Mum4nay, great to hear donor is all set to go! Are you doing a cycle with your own eggs simultaneously?
PinkB, how did you go with appt with Dr S and AMH levels?
Always, your Zoe is absolutely gorgeous!!! Was lovely to see a beautiful full bloom belly pic (and your lovely face also!)
Trying, Slinky, Hiero, Millie, Sabah, Melk, Fiona, Drmummy, Spot it's been reaaaally quiet in here lately, how are you fab gals doing??
Quick qu:, anyone who has been on DHEA a while. Did you stay on 75mg the whole time or reduce down at some stage? I have been on it a whopping 8 months but haven't had an EPU in all this time for obvious reasons. Just a little concerned long term that it could affect FSH levels and my cycle outcome Will ask FS but wanted to pick the brains trust 1st

Have been offline latey - just crazy busy.
Starfish, I've never taken DHEA but Dr Mummy wrote an awesome post about what dosage of DHEA she took - and when - and the other drugs she was on too as part of her protocol. Its really worth going back and trying to find it if you can.
Mum4Nay, wow, it is all happening! Hope you are staying zen through this process
PinkB, glad you have taken time out to pamper yourself! I agree, it is very hard to hear the stories of the fantastically fertile, happy for them though I am. It is all so unfair. Hope your AMH result was better than you expected.
Starfish, hope you had a great Easter! Whatever path you take next, I hope there is a lovely BFP at the end of it for you.
Hi to everybody else!
AFM, haven't had any bleeding for a few weeks now, thankfully. Tomorrow I go in for my blood tests, then have my nuchal scan next week. Am very anxious about the nuchal scan given my age but all I can do is hope it will all turn out okay.

starfish: i initially took 75mg in 2009 for about 8 weeks, fsh dropped too low (down to 0.2) so reduced to 50mg for 6 wks..bfp. this time i was meant to take 50mg but i upped it to 75mg cos i thought due to age etc i might need a bit more..so on 75mg for 4.5 months, currently not having a great response to 350 puregon...i am hoping its cos of the higer dose of dhea and im just someone who should take less however my fsh was 6.0 at the start of this cycle which is 'technically' good. im planning to stay on 50mg only now. the initial study reported a woman who just got better and better results the longer she was on it, i know someone who took more than 75mg and it worked out for her. i would just check what your fsh is if u havent recently, i had no "symptoms" when my fsh dropped too low...good luck!!

Thanks Trying. Awesome news that you have had no further bleeding and wishing you a perfect nuchal scan for next week
Jfb, thanks for dropping in. By symptoms I assume you mean 'DHEA' symptoms?? Cos mine are still raging, particularly the stubborn pimples and greasiness It's also one of the reasons I was thinking of dropping the dose. Will ask FS about getting FSH checked this week.

starfish: i meant i had no symptoms that my fsh was so low in 2009 (that is, no changes to af or ovulation symptoms cos when fsh was 0.2 u techincally cant ovulate i think ) if that makes sense. good luck. its always worth a check...most ppl i know on dhea tho thier fsh wasnt that much affected.

Mum4nay – thinking of you this week – hope all goes really well
Starfish – my CD2 FSH results haven’t varied heaps – although are slightly better, and my oestrogen levels have been much better which is good as if that’s high it can falsely suppress FSH. I have stayed on the same dose but notice MLKs (from the DHEA thread) was on 100mg – haven’t heard of that before. I don’t think they can test FSH whilst you are on a long down cycle as they are trying to suppress everything – so hopefully you won’t need the testing as this cycle will work!! I had also been reading about Dr’s in the US concerned about DHEA affecting testosterone levels and that having a negative impact on egg quality so I got that checked and mine is OK. My DHEA levels were high (but apparently normal when on DHEA). I am sure Dr S will do whatever tests you feel you need. I am really happy he is one of those FS’s.
Tryingfortwo – so glad the bleeding has stopped. I hope you get some great results for your NT scan and can relax into your pregnancy then – the worrying doesn’t stop for us IVF’ers!
AFM – well AMH has dropped again, it held up at 5 for over a year so wasn’t too surprised – its now 2.7 – which is low. Handled it all OK as to be honest was expecting it to be zero. FS thinks its still possible – who knows???. Feels so hard to watch time and eggs slip through my fingers right in front of me – I’m sure we all feel like that. Keep reminding myself that not many people get their AMH tested so regularly so probably don’t know how its tracking. Not giving up but trying to keep it realistic – easier said than done!!

Starfish, you posted your news about your AMH results ages ago but just wanted to send you big hugs. I'm sorry I missed this news at the time.
mum4nay, hope all is going well with the ED cycle. So pleased to hear its all on track.
pinkb, sorry to hear about your AMH results too. Hope you and DH are doing OK
Hello also to drmummy, fionaalice (good to see you, lovely), swede (great to hear all is well), trying, jfblady, spot, alwayshoping, melk, and everyone else I've missed.
AFM: Sorry for my absence of late but with my sister here and some time off work it's been quite busy for me. But in between I've seen the FS for the first time since my last cycle failure in October. I wanted to see him to discuss 'what next' after 5 BFNs, and he has now sent me off for karyotying and some other immunity-related tests with the suggestion that I consider PGD on my remaining frosties depending on these results. I was quite floored when he suggested it, as I assumed PGD wouldn't be on the table just yet, but he's convinced it's my embies that are the problem as I have no other obvious underlying problem. I guess no decisions have to be made until the test results are in, but have been feeling rather since then, as if we go to PGD it will be last attempt at IVF. This @#$%^&* IVF stuff's a rollercoaster, isn't it????
