Diet coke also helped my MS. I was probably having almost a can a day, sometimes a couple. Like others said as long as you're drinking water as well and not just living on the stuff bub will be fine

If you are taking your pregnancy vitamins then I wouldn't worry too much as far as nutrition. Of course its a great idea, but you have to be realistic. As long as you are eating something and keeping hydrated and taking your vitamins then thats great.

Well I'm taking blackmores pregnancy and bf gold as well as fabfol for the iron, and I've finally resigned to the fact I just don't 'glow' in pregnancy.

I had imagined myself barefoot in the kitchen preparing healthy and green leafy meals but instead I can't bear the smell of the kitchen and I'm barefoot hugging the toilet!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Thanks for cheering me up though I don't feel as guilty...

I'm the same too. Can only stomach coke... it was the only thing i could drink with my m/s. But now that the m/s has subsided i can handle water as well. Diet coke just tastes awful these days for some reason.

I have drunk coffee, tea and coke, just made sure to keep within a healthy level. Like the other girls said, avoid the diet or zero versions as the artifical sweetners are not recommended. Mmmmmmm I feel like a coke now...

I think the problem with artificial sweeteners is that they haven't done any tests on the effect on the bubba.

so they don't know that it's necessarily bad or not, but best to be safe and just drink the regular coke.

I'm still feeling really sick and just feel so guilty that my belly baby isn't getting the proper nutrition it needs. Bland is all I can manage so my diet is potatoes or plain pasta followed by a small glass of coke.
Don't feel guilty all I could eat for the first 4 months of pregnancy was chicken nuggets and chips, everythine else made me. It's not ideal but take your vitamins and you can make up for it by eating better when the ms stops. Bubs will be fine (I have a seven month old climbing all over me to prove it).

I use to love coke but while I was pregnant all I could drink was diet coke. I only had a few cans a month but I drank it all way through my pregnancy
