We had a farewell at work when I was 10 weeks UTD and I declined a glass of champagne and when I was asked why I said straight up "Because I'm pregnant" and then laughed my butt off like I was kidding. Worked a treat and I didn't even have to lie

If you regularly drink with work colleagues then I think defiantly have a story ready to go but if not then one thing I know as a non-drinker is the more others drink the less they notice you're not. I think drinking OJ is a good idea, people will just draw there own conclusions so you wont need to necessarily say anything or have to lie.

i had this happen yesterday as we were at a wedding ... and i usually do drink ... i just walked around with a glass of champagne and didnt drink it ... so im going to have to do that on Melb Cup and have no idea what to do at our Christmas Party!

I work in an industry where we drink and socialise a lot so saying 'no thanks' just isnt going to fly ...
