Default HELP!! How to hide pregnancy from work?

    Hi Girls,

    I need some advise/help!

I want to hide my pregnancy from people at work for as long as possible...

Next Tuesday is Melbourne Cup and they will be bringing out the champagne for lunch.

    What do i do?

Do i pretend to drink it?

Do I say i want it with Orange Juice and go down stairs tip it out and fill my glass with OJ?

Or do i just deny it altogether and hope no one asks questions...?

And then at the work Xmas party i will have the same problem, although that should be easier to hide as it will be a larger group and i doubt everyone will be watching me.

On the upside I normally don't drink alcohol anyway but i did have one glass of champagne at our melbourne cup lunch last year...

Just say you don't drink, plain & simple.

I would just say I was taking antibiotics and can't drink, or maybe say your tummy is a bit upset and you don't want to make it worse by drinking

Just say you have a headache or something - or go home sick that day.

I am allergic to champagne (it's quite common actually!) and always say that when it comes out because I'm so sick of people saying `oh, you don't like champagne? What's wrong with you??' etc etc.

I'm not pregnant, either! But it's just annoying.

So the old `I'm allergic to champagne' is a great one.

Except of course when they offer you something else instead

Just tell them you dont drink.
I dont drink- ever- and yeah people ask why not as if I have 2 heads but I just tell them that with my life experiences alcohol is the root of all evil- they usually look at me and just say 'oh....right....' and never ask again!

Just say you have a headache and have taken nurofen so any champagne will make you sleepy, or that you are doing a alcohol detox

Say you're driving later on and champagne always goes straight to your head.

If you don't usually drink I am sure no one will remember you had one last year. No one can force you to drink, just say no
