I highly highly highly recommend Dr Keith Ooi. I know this thread is really old and my experience is a couple of years old, but Dr Keith Ooi helped us HUGELY, that it is worth this post.
When my son was between 1-4 months old, he developed reflux and was in constant pain. He also wouldn't sleep longer than an hour at night time. We went to a GP and Paediatrician for months and were trialling different formulas with no luck. Every Paediatric Gastroenterologist was 4+ months waitlist, including Dr Ooi. And we were heading overseas for a year and were worried we wouldn't have it sorted before hand. We managed to get in contact with Dr Ooi and explained our circumstances and he took us in within a couple of days.
It's obvious he really cares about the babies he sees. I couldn't believe that after so many dead ends and tearing my hair out, that this one person was willing and able to turn my son's health around.
He is at Randwick, and HIGHLY recommend him!

My bub is exactly facing the same issues..he is 16 weeks and is exclusivel breastfed. At 6 weeks he suddenly started refusing feeds...but only lasted for 2 days and then he was normal again...but he started with silent reflux issues the following week. Since he was feeding okay and putting on weight I assumed that the reflux will settle as he grows and so I didn't do anything about it.

However at 12 weeks he again started refusing feeds...as well as woke up every two hours at night. I realised the only way to feed him was when he is about to wake up and not fully awake...or if I am lucky he would feed in sleep sometimes...ater a week he had eczema and then we showed him to a pediatrician...he said he is not feeding because my milk supply has reduced and prescribed a steriod cream for his eczema which could only be used for 4 days. After coming home I tried expressing and could manage 80 mls frm each breast. So I wrote back to him and he said his reflux may be severe and asked me to get a prescription of Losec from my GP. So we started him on Losec. I mailed him following week saying there wasn't any improvement and he poos out whatever he eats in no time.He wrote back saying he may be lactose intolerantm

Last week his stool started having a tinge of blood in it. I don't think this pediac is able to solve my bubs issue. He still refuses to feed when awake and his eczema is still there + his reflux hasn't shown much improvement after 2 weeks of Losec.

Did you guys find out what was the reason for breast refusal?

And oh yes he also refuses to take bottles...last night he just didn't sleep...I am so tired and concerned.
    Hi,
we are having the same issue. can you pls share how did you get help? who helped you and your son? is he ok now? i am so frustrated and helpless ! Please help if you can!
