I also had a small issue with additional kilograms after the birth. Since it was not normal for me, I started a special diet and started running again. But after two months I gained two more kilograms! So I went to the doctor, and after some time and tests they found out that I have some insulin problem, which is caused by a hormonal disbalance after the birth. And now I have to take pills every single day for two years because of that... So, ladies, I seriously recommend these tests if you're overweight, because sometimes this can mean a serious illness, like with me.

    Hi everyone,
I am pregnant with #1 and overweight. I lost 30kg last year in preparation for TTC, and am hoping to 'lose' another 15kg this year... carefully, as I will be pregnant for most of it. My doctor is happy with my diet and fitness plan though.

Wow DT. What an effort. 30kg!!! I wish I could be that focused. Congratulations on your pregnancy and well done on staying focused and working with your doctor. Wishing you a safe, uneventful pregnancy.
