Hi Tasha! Glad to hear its settled with some rest. This rest thing sucks huh? Im hanging to see my GP and have my BP checked again on tuesday! I might be allowed to do something!! (DF and mum are on my case that i shouldnt do ANYTHING untill its stable just to be on the safe side.)
This heat is terrible!!! All ive wanted all day is a big pregnancy no-no.
An MNMs McFlurry.....Sadly i couldnt resist! lol Just finished one (waited all day for it), and SO could go another but not driving across town to get it. I think its more the coolness of the icecream...seems to be soothing my indigestion - for now.
Might settle for a crushed ice drink if i want something else so cold.. Only thing is now - bubs is kicking up a HUGE Storm from the coolness and sugar rush! Very comforting, but he's getting too big...my poor ribs Anyways, off to stretch out in the recliner to give him some more room. TC Girlies!

I hope all the BP's are settling and that snipers freakout lessens a little although lol it doesnt!!!!! its so exciting. I was actually going to stop TTC next cycle because of my fears and your stories are keeping me hanging in there to keep trying
Bless you all and best of luck and all the happiness in the world to you all xoxoxooxox

Funky - glad we can be an inspiration to u and help u with ur TTC/Bubby journey! Its good to hear that kinda stuff when things are slowly turning upside down on our ends! lol
Well, AFM ill start with the good news.....
About an hour ago i became a great aunt for the first time to a baby boy. My niece went into labour sometime yesterday, and he was delivered by emergency c-sect about an hour ago. We dont have any other details yet. My brother called as soon as he knew he was a grandpa (Was at work) and he called as he was leaving, on his way to visit her, about 10mins after it all happened.
Next, i think ive unofficially started Maternity leave!! But im kinda in 2 minds about it. Im excited cus now i dont have to work, but annoyed and frustrated as to why i dont have to go back.
Heres the bad news....... Went back to my GP this morning for my BP to be rechecked. Ive been taking my medication twice a day (Actually every 12hrs - 10am and 10pm - to be exact for MAX benefit) and its STILL 150/100. Last week it was 170/100 without meds, so the Doc isnt very impressed. He seems to think ive skipped some tablets or something, but i can assure him between DF and mum...that is impossible!
So now, my dosage is at the max of 3/day. And i have to go back and see him again next week. I have a feeling im now on weekly visits, even though i have 7wks to go. And now because of my BP, mum refuses to let me work. Im expected to just sit on my backside and rest until bubs comes. UGH!!! HOW BORING!!!
Mum does seem to think though (as its happened with her twice) that my OB may admit me when he sees me at 36wks (My GP wont because he doesnt like the hospital here and would have to put me under someone elses care), and that the OB will induce me as soon as he is sure bubs is ok and ready. That doesnt phase me so much... just means i dont have that long drawn out wait and concern about "will i go over?" and "when will it happen??"
Ok enough of my about me rant, I hope everyone else is doing well! Bubs is kicking up a storm today and starting to get a few painful double whammys in! Not sure if they're kicks or punches or headbuts (or where) but im getting thuds on both my ribs and cervix. Quite an interesting feeling!

ahhhhh shadow Another person who can't sit still, during and since my assault I have been going insane!!! thing is unless hubby takes leave, which he is entitled to long service leave, then I have no one here, but if my BP goes up I can see my mum on my door too lol!!! my BP hit 190/110 (without being pregnant mind you so not anywhere near the same situation) but I did end up having a small stroke and could not move in the middle of the night and took about 4 hours before I could let hubby know anything had happened. this was due to stress and being taken of a medication cold turkey!!
My FS is so awesome my BP is still a lil high gets to about 145/90 so I will be straight onto the medication that is safe for bubs during my pregnancy and I am learning slowly with my counsellor to deal with my PTSD and fears from my assault. BUT I shall get there lol!! a im cd18 today technically 5DPO but I will know by sat morning if I ovulated with the clomid. If I have then I will feel like we are finally in with a chance!!!
Good luck hunny I so hope you feel ok and don't feel to fluffed about by everyone!!! take care and thinking of you!!!

Happy friday people!
I'm 39 weeks tomoz and have contracted the most stupid cold ever- it's my 6th for this pregnancy, seriously if it wasnt for the million colds this pregnancy would have been ok you know but due to colds and my propensity for lung infections- I'M JUST SO OVER IT. I know being pregnant can reduce one's immune system but this is getting a bit silly now. Anyway I'm possibly having a c-sec sometime next week and this cold throws a spanner in those works a bit. as hacking one's guts up while trying to recover from c sec is not the best look in the world. not so good for wound healing.
So I may go quiet sometime next week- does someone want to PM me their mobile number so I can send an announcement text out and then they can post it on here? Otherwise the announcement might not be made until a week after the birth. That person would also be asked to jump over to the Feb 2011 birth announcement thread and cross post it there too.
proud to announce that our DD is now 90% toilet trained after 2 and a bit weeks at it- it was hard going but so worth it. yay only one in nappies now.
went and saw black swan this morning, found it a bit daft but it was good to get out and see a film, havent done that in a while.
finally got the final names for either a boy or girl locked in- the girls' name took a bit but we're happy with them.
DF goes on leave from monday onwards so i will get some rest in at least and some time to recover a bit before the baby comes.
think I have everything prepapred pretty much, got a capsule to be fitted sitting in the boot of the car and all clothes and bedding have been washed and ready to go. still havent packed any sort of hospital bag0 might have a go of that tommorrow. had some contractions yesterday every 5 mins but they were nothing much and baby is not engaged nor is there any other signs of movement.
shadow- i hope your BP can come under control. take it easy while you can!!
tasha- hey how are you? hope the bleeding has stopped a bit.
funkymummy- good luck for the next month!
that's all I can see- hello to everyone reading, yay for those feeling kicks and those about to enter the next trimester. anyone found out the sex recently?
Anyway hope everyone has a good weekend, and hope someone posts me their mob number so it can be announced here- i dont have an iphone and i dont think the hospital has an internet kiosk (how ridiculous is that), so you may not hear anything for a while if there's no sms buddy.
take care people,
