Default Does anyone else hate the phrase "popping them out"

I just wonder if anyone else hates the phrase "popping them out". I was at a friends place today and the wife came out "well you guys keep popping them out". I don't know why it bothered me today, it normally wouldn't.

It just sounds so uncouth. So unplanned, uneducated, so unwanted and care for.

All my children are much loved, wanted children and i certain did just pop them out.

Am i just being over the top sensitive?

Yes I am not a fan. If anybody ever says that to me I generally reply, "Well it wasn't quite that simple, but thanks."

    not from a large family

my DD2 is 6 weeks and DD1 10 lately I have been looking at pregnant women and thinking about what we go through as women to have children

i don't think you are being to over the top but having said that I don't think it will EVER be possible for men to truly get it

the whole pregnant think, what happens to our bodies etc could go on but I think you get what I mean

sometimes I wish it was possible for them to walk in our shoes for awhile

Sorry I'm one of those uncouth individuals

But that's just the way we do things - talk light heartily about things....

I'm having a Csection and refer to it as either getting bub scooped out or getting gutted..... Which I find doesn't terrify me as much as a clinical Convo would

Yeah i cant stand it either. There are a few terms relating to pregnancy/child birth that i cant stand like 'knocked up" etc. It is just crass and demeaning to what is a really special experience and a blessing. But that is just me!!

It doesn't bother me, i just find it amusing when it comes from a childless woman who is obviously anticipating hypothetical labour as being a quick "pop" and done with it...ah...we wish!!! Not much popping about the matter.
