i can see why most of you are confused... nearly every family member especially HIS family have photos of his other daughters, my sister posted a similar pic of the new bub just after i did but nothing was said it was just because it was ME that posted it! but after i had DS they were among the first to post pics without my permission so i was just a lil angry about that! if this makes any sense at all LOL

i would be annoyed if someone posted pics of my new bub on facebook without my permission.
i'd like to choose the first pics myself.

in that case... they don't sound like very nice family members.

i would be asking them to remove any and all pictures of your children from facebook before you remove the pictures you put up (but i'm a bit spiteful like that )

would you have a problem with a family member posting photos of your child?

    Yes, I would.

But then again, my family understand respect and the need to protect children in this technological age and wouldn't do it.

Have you tried reporting it to facebook and saying you own the copyright for those photos?
If someone else has taken them, you don't own the copyright and they don't necessarily need a waiver either. And any legal action you want to take must be commenced in the US under US law because it's a US site.

As others have declared in here, I admit I am not a Facebook fan. The amount of fights caused by that thing is phenomenal [lol]. In addition, it's not a secure site, it's way too easy to hack into and to be honest I find it quite boring to read.

I don't allow anyone to post pics of my kids for the simple fact that I don't want my ex having access to the photos - if someone puts them up I simply ask them to remove them and explain why

Absolutely . I would be very upset , I think its rude not to ask first

. And as someone that wouldn't ever put any pics of my kids on the net because I have a sometimes irrationally paranoid mind id be furious if someone else did !
