Something I loved was a nightlight and a rocking chair.

Something not so great are those silver photo frames that has a spot for each month for bub's first year. The pics have to be so small, takes 12 months before I can display it and it tarnishes easy.

    A number of things really.

Personalised library bag with her name sewn on it.

A set of baby bowls with lids and some spoons.

A mini blender to make baby food.

    Coins from her birth year.

3 dozen plain white towelling square nappies.

Some little girl clothes (she was MEANT to be a boy!)

A Nursery Rhymes book, it's still one of her faves.

A bedtime stories book, although she's only recently started to read that one since each story takes us over half an hour to get through.

This is going to sound weird but.. The best gift i received after i had bub (and was in hospital still) was a basket of fruit! I was so hungry and little packets of scotch finger biscuits didnt cut it.

    Darrell Lea Strawberry liquorice!

No joke, my youngest BIL bought me a bag right after DS's c/section. I'd never had it before and OMG it was fantastic! A sugar boost is exactly what I needed!

    A twinkle toes gift voucher.

A bracelet with dd name engraved on it.

A weeks worth of home cooked meals frozen! All we had to do was defrost and heat up! Very convenient on the hard days!

    A bank account for dd

My Fav gift was a hamper from a friend who worked in a chemist, she chose 1 thing a week for bub for months (ie as soon as she knew I was preg) the hamper was chokkers and I used every single item it was soooooo useful! (it also had a teddy on the top that E chose as her favourite)

My next baby shower I am buying an ear thermometer and over the councter baby medicines (brauer teething relief, baby panodol drops etc) as you seem to not realise you need those things until you really really need them at 1am and no shops are open.
