Our home phone/Internet is a fixed $100 per month. We are finding that quite good as we can make unlimited local/mobile/long distance (but not OS) calls.
We both have pre-paid mobiles but try and avoid using them much, so it would be less than $30 combined per month, I think.
So, about $130.
I rarely post anything. I tend to email or fax it at work.

$225 for DP, mine and kids mobiles (4 all up)
$50 for house phone
That's about it as our internet is free.

My uncle doesn't use the internet anymore since he stopped working. He doesn't go out much, just to the group of shops down from his apartment so doesn't go to internet cafes or anything. He has a prepaid mobile but rarely has it turned on, no home phone and no computer/internet at home. I like to send him things like those blank cards or a drawing from DD or something a few times a month and he loves getting things in the mail. He pretty much only gets bank statments and power bills sent to him now. He isn't working and isn't on Centrelink. He never had kids, just worked and worked and worked and barely spent anything, has rented cheaper places but now has a more expensive 2 bedroom unit in a gated community for over 55s. He's always worked in management positions like bank manager, and so on, and simply left the money in the bank, only paid rent of around $80 to $100/week til now, he now pays $200/week in rent, and bought enough food for himself. A box of oats would last him a very long time. A 3L carton of milk would last almost 2 weeks. He has never spent much so put it all away and is living off that now. Because he had no kids, he only had us, I feel it's only right for us to send him things and make him feel included in the family despite the fact that he moved a long way from here.
Apart from him, I'm seeming to be posting off birthday cards fairly regularly to people who live away.
