Anyone know where to buy like a domestic carpet steam cleaner or wet vacuum/shampoo or something like that? And how much?

You can usually hire them from Coles/Woolworths
ETA: Not sure on price, maybe $60 a day and $20 for shampoo stuff ?

Try the Britex at woolies. They say you have to use their product but that's rubbish. We have hired it for $40 and spent $4 on antibacterial handy andy and it works a treat and smells really clean.

I second the Bissel Proheat. Everyone I loaned it to went out and bought their own. When we bought it, it was pricy, however when my dad bought it, it was substantially cheaper.
