    Question Melbourne Acupuncturist

I just came back from my initial Nursing consultation, and we are just waiting for my period to arrive so we can begin our 1st Down Reg Cycle, with ICSI.

I asked the nurse if she recommended any alternative/complimentary medicines and she said that many people have swarn by having Acupuncture throughout process.

Therefore, I am wondering if anyone can recommend a acupuncturist (think that is what they call them) within the south eastern suburbs of Melbourne?

I'm not so sure about the SE suburbs, but I went to Fertile Ground in East Melbourne. They deal a lot with IVF and were great. I swear that it helped me get my BFP and also helped make it a sticky pregnancy (I had m/c twice). Plus it was a great way to relax before and during my cycle.

Good luck with everything. I hope your VFP isn't far away!

    Hi,

I found acupuncture to be great. I went to Sharmaine Parsell at the Acupuncture IVF Support Clinic.

    http://www.acupunctureivf.com.au/

It is in Clarendon Street, East Melbourne just around the corner from Melbourne IVF so not SE suburbs sorry.

Sharmaine is fantastic and the other practitioners also.

    Good luck.

    BB.

    Hi Mrs Perfetto

Like angeleish, I go to Fertile Ground in East Melbourne for acupuncture & naturopathy. All of the acupuncturists are great -- Amy is my regular followed by Peter. It's a bit of a trek for me from the western suburbs, but since they specialise in fertility issues I find they're all really well-versed in the medical side of IVF and very sensitive to the needs (emotional included) of IVF patients.

I see Sharmaine at AcupunctureIVF too and can highly recommend her - she has a lovely, kind nature. The other women there have been nice too.

    Smile SE suburbs Acupuncturist

    Hi Girls,

Thanks for the posts. I have since commenced acupuncture with Dr Peter Gu. He says that he works with IVF support as well as other 'womens' issues. He was really good and because he is a general doctor as well, he really knows his stuff. I will see how that goes and if we dont get a BFP on first cycle, will try the East Melbourne clinic you suggested.

    Thanks again,

Just wondering if you had any success with DR Peter Gu? I am looking for an acupuncturist in south east suburbs, and have come across his website.

    Thank you!
