Hi ladies hope you all had a great weekend

Micca - Not sure what all that means but from the sound of your update all is good with the tests results. Make sure you continue to rest and put your bub and you at number 1 XOX

Soclose - Hope you are doing ok been thinking of you

Chilie - hope the egg collection went well today and those embryos are already starting to grow for you good luck crossed this one is for you.

Sooz - hows the bub going have you had your scan yet.

Pippy - Good luck for Wednesday hope the scan goes well and cycle continues for you

Sunny - hopefully you will be cycling again soon

To anyone I have missed Im so sorry.

Well I have tried to upload the photos the dr took from my girlfrinds opp and havent been able to get it to work. My goodness the growth on her ovary is was the size of a small baby ladies probably dont want to see it but I couldnt believe my eyes how something could grow that big latched onto an ovary.

Anyway I had my scan this morning and 15 follicles with 11 mature and ready to harvest. Booked in for 8am on Wednesday. The only down side is my lining is so thin at 3.9mm Im devestated as there is no way I can probably build this up in time for transfer. So its a waiting game to see if it improves for transfer otherwise if I do get any good quality embryos they will freeze them. The first two cycles I did I never had this problem lining has always been good. So its back onto the hormone patches and cross everything I have. Cant seem to get into DH's head that if the lining isnt at least 8mm the embryo has trouble and cant implant. He is only focussed on the number of eggs. Anyway have to firstly focus on getting the eggs fertilised then I will worry about the lining. Has anyone else had the thin lining on this thread and had it build up by transfer stage?

Love and luck to all XOX

Hi everyone. Sorry I have been MIA but work has been flat out and I don't seem to have time to do anything else!

Sooz, Micca, Kitty I am glad things are going well for you all. I am so excited for you all.

Cillile - I am so glad your sister has survived this far. Good luck with your transfer.

Pippy/Penny - good luck with your next cycles.

Sunny - hope all goes well and I wish you a speedy recovery.

Lilly40 - good luck on Wednesday.

Hopingformore - good luck for you cycle.

Hi to anyone I have missed.

AFM - I have been on Progynova prior to FET. I had a scan last week and the lining was only 3.4 mm and they want 6mm so I am now on 4 Progynova per day and two Estradot patches every two days. I am having another scan tomorrow to check the lining. If it is not 6mm they are going to cancel the cycle as my FS doesn't like to use Progynova for too long. I haven't had AF for such a long time now I can't understand why my lining isn't 20mm thick by now!!!! I have had some bleeding but my nurse assured me this was okay and may not affect the lining and the bleeding has stopped now no for FET next week.

    Default EPU done and dusted

Sorry for the short one as DD is asleep, but I only just woke up before her Im sure.

My sister had her EPU yesterday. She was glad to have it because she had been feeling so uncomfortable for the last 5 days or so. She had lots of swelling and couldnt do up any of her pants. They collected 13 eggs. Unfortunately my sister reacted to the anaestetic and felt very poorly, nausea and vomitting along with sore tum and cramps. Luckily she says she feels much better today.
We were disappointed to find out that out of the 13 only 10 were mature and of these only 3 fertilised. We had been counting our chickens and expected about 8-7 /13 not 3/13.
I have told her that one of hers is worth about 10 or so of mine.
The transfer is tomorrow and we are not yet sure about 1 vs 2. Probably 2.
DD is making wake up noises, best go. All the best to you all.

Hi everyone, have been interstate caring for my mother so will have to have a read back to catch up.

AF arrived but I wasn't here to start cycling - the story of my life, waiting waiting.

I hope everyone is well wherever you are on the IVF journey

    Hi Girls,

Scan went ok....looks like 3-4 follies at this stage at 8mm-10mm....there is even a follie on my strangled to death right ovary...but...lining is looking crappy...because of the adenomyosis....hoping I just don't have enough estrogen yet and it is building....
This is the best result at this stage we have had yet but in the past haven't had lining issues.....
Fs seems to think I may have run my race, out to prove differently.

Hope you are all well...will get to personals soon..

Hi Ladies, I hope you don't mind if I join in. I was on this thread ages ago and have had a couple of failed cycles since then so am back again, ready to tackle all the issues of being over 40 and TTC.

A little background, my partner had a vasectomy with his previous wife and I have adenomyosis. I had a hysteroscopy after the 5th failed cycle and they found fibroids as well. I have a saline sonohysterogram booked in for next week as my FS feels my uterus is the problem and wants a 2nd opinion. I have also been on DHEA for the past 3 months after no fertilisation on my last cycle.

I have been inspired watching the stories on this thread and wanted to join in for support and your opinions.

Pippy - can I ask if you are doing anything differently because of your adenomyosis? I also live on the Gold Coast.

    Thanks.
    Jen

Jen... you have certainly had a long run to get there... at least your FS thinks it uterine and not your eggs... there are many FS that also specialise in ladies like you as well....
I hope all goes well with the hycosie...
welcome this is a great site to vent and rage as well as just get support on crappy bad days... we all get it here...

Pippy... yay for your follies, bugger about the lining I hope it improves.. are you on oestrogen supplements??
I would certainly not give up yet...
I hope this cycle is yours.. they can also use viagra suppositories to quickly build up the lining...
fingers crossed it all comes right.
Great to hear that your sisters amnio went well... I hope mine does as well.

    Soclose.
.. grrr for missing your timing window... you seem to be the most patient women on earth.... I hope your mum is settling into the nursing home.

    Cililie.
.. great to hear that the egg collection went so well and you had 13 eggs... did you use icsi??. Sorry to hear that only 3 fertilised but as you say they will be 3 lovely normal eggs compared to our chromosomally challanged ones... fingers crossed that this works.
Sorry your sister had a hard time... I had the same thing with my first EPU. But the same anetheatist did my second EPU and gave me lots of stuff to stop vomiting and it was a breeze...
Im glad she is feeling better.. she is such a wonderful person doing this for you.

Otgirl.. bummer about your lining sounds like the oestrogen might do the trick... I hope it picks up and becomes nice and fluffy... fingers crossed for you too...xx

Lily.. wow great collection of eggs... I hope your lining grows... I cant believe that you, otgirl and pippy are all having lining issues. I hope that yours picks up as well...
Often women have a higher chance with FET as it is more natural and less toxin orientated... so I think either way you will win..xxxx

well Im just cruising along 13 weeks on friday... I cant believe it. Im still not really believing Im preggers..sigh, no m/s just feeling tired.. my boobs are bigger and my post IVF fat gut has not got too much bigger yet...which is a good thing when you are not ready to let the secret out for another 2 weeks, I bought a fetal doppler for reassurance and it is the best thing.. Im a real neurotic nelly... Im sure its a IVF thing where we have been through so much to get to the prize.
I hope that you can all be neurotic nellies it wont be long... hopefully before christmas...

    Micca,

So great all is running along smoothly and I say running as it is flying.........when is amnio again??

Lily, OTgirl....hope like me that the lining starts to plump up...I have also been advised to start accupuncture...will try anything.
FS hasn't mentioned any supplements to me, so maybe she is going to have a look on Monday and see...I am eating lots of kiwi fruit as I was told that can help???????

    Jen,

Welcome back....sounds as though you have similar issues to me. As yet I haven't done anything in regard to adenomyosis, as I don't think there is much other than drilling surgery which can then lead to other issues.... My FS says to me she thinks I may have run my race, but she likes my optimism.....as I say, what else have I got.....but in saying this, she wouldn't be letting me cycle if she thought there was no chance. So i think she doesn't want me to get my hopes up.
    they are up...........
Jen, I am also TRYING to follow a high protein , low carb diet as again, I have been told this helps...and loads of water.
What clinic are you with ?? If you want to catch up some time....I am on the Nth end of the coast...where are you??

Hope you all have a great day, will try to catch up later..

    xx

    Thank you for the welcomes.

Micca - you truly are an inspiration. I have been following your story and it is proof it can happen to us over 40's. Enjoy every part of being UTD!!

Pippa - thanks for your reply. My FS has also tried to tell me it might be time to give up, but I have refused and asked for one more cycle. He is hoping that the scan next week will show more of where the fibroids are and any other info on the adenomyosis - he finds it very hard to see anything during scans when I am cycling as my uterus is such a big "mass". Would love to catch up - I am at Broadbeach but happy to drive to you. I have a PO Box at Oxenford so quite often drive up that end of the Coast. Thanks for the tip on the high protein, low carb diet. I need a little motivation at the moment to get back into it - I just spent 3 months working in Melbourne so have put on a few kilos!

Hope everyone is having a good day.

    Jen

    Jen,

I have the same problem....Huge uteris.....I just recently had a cyst removed or mostly removed that dwarfed my HUGE uteris.....was very close to having a hysterectomy..but fs is great and she has given me a repreive.
Maybe we could meet half way.....I have a 2 year old that I take to move to music at Oxenford on Thursdays but maybe we could meet up on either a Mon or Wed.....I work the other days.
The weight thing is hard...I find I am always battling since starting IVF..on a constant diet and exercise....lol...

Take care....we all need to motivate and support each other....we all have our ups and downs...

    xx
